Last man standing, who would you choose?

Looking for a bit of help on this one, through to the latter stages of a competition, but in for a tricky week:

Aston Villa v Chelsea
Everton v West Brom
Fulham v Norwich
Man City v Sunderland
QPR v Arsenal
Wigan Athletic v Stoke
Wolves v Bolton
Newcastle v Liverpool
Tottenham v Swansea
Blackburn v Man Utd

I have to choose one of the highlighted teams, they others are already used.

That is indeed a tricky set of fixtures. If you play the percentages game it's got to be Newcastle.

I have a rule never to go for an away team, but I've gone with the majority and gone for Bolton. I expect I'll be out.

That's the spirit!
Good luck though.
Was down to the last 3 in my local Paddy Power just before Christmas and foolishly I picked Newcastle to beat WBA at home and they lost 3-2 I had Utd saved for the following week and the cunts battered Wigan 5-0.Sods Law!
Tend to find it easier to go far in these if ya save the better teams for the latter weeks of the comp.

Liverpool v Aston Villa
Norwich v Everton
West Brom v Blackburn
Stoke City v Wolves
Man Utd v QPR
Arsenal v
Man City

Seeing as this week worked, any thoughts on next week?

You missed a massive chance to get QPR out of the way today with their win over Arsenal you fool!

Stoke for next week.

Norwich worth considering. Moyes could easily 'throw' that game [like he did with the Derby] to focus on the FA Cup the following weekend, whilst I don't think Kenny can afford to make our home match with Villa anything but absolutely vital to team confidence [and his own future, quite possibly].

Yep, Stoke are the obvious one. I imagine there'll be a few going with them. Still waiting to see on how many got through this round, I'm hoping Arsenal and City will have slipped up a few.

I won't be choosing Liverpool at any stage, if I can help it.

I'm sure you're all waiting on updates to this.

I'm still in, had Newcastle yesterday. Through week 9, and waiting to see how many are though now. I imagine they'll skip this weekend, so hopefully I'll have this wrapped up the week after.

Through again, there's only 13 left in the competition now.

Arsenal v Chelsea
Aston Villa v Sunderland
Blackburn v Norwich
Bolton v Swansea
Fulham v Wigan
Newcastle v Stoke
QPR v Tottenham
Man Utd v Everton
Liverpool v West Brom
Wolves v Man City

Any thoughts?

ah, there's no wildcard or anything?

I reckon Swansea are more likely to win than Blackburn, though i think both have lost their last 5?

No, my wildcard was used up early on.

Swansea are poor away from home, which is my problem with them.

I may have to just take Liverpool, and get ready for having a doubly depressing day...
