Something had to happen. And it has

Best reply: Premier League rule article 18.4 states any break lasting longer than 65 days in the middle of the season as a result of global disease will result in a failed campaign and the season will then be considered null and void

Which is why I said in the Corvid-19 thread we need to get this done ASAP. However I think we will because the next step before aborting the season would be to play games behind closed doors. Just keep racking up the 3 points and hope City drop some so we can get this done as soon as possible.

Just do us a favour and don't travel anywhere near England for a few months ok?

There are millions of us who've been waiting 3 decades for a league title.

If this is really a threat to our dream, maybe we should mobilise and stop the virus ourselves.
You could take the North Korean approach. A couple of days ago they announced they had found someone infected with C-19 ... and that they had executed him ! Start in Manchester please.

Hahaha not on the agenda for maybe 2 months (to visit parents in N. Wales and daughter in London). That said my proposed trip to the Dolomites looks to have been scuppered, so ......

Ahhh man we're gonna see city fans sneezing on each other and gozzing on people to spread the virus on live news

So, if we mathematically win the league in 4 games time and are crowned champions is there even 65 days left in the season if there was to be a break?

The mass hysteria regarding this is bonkers, but I wouldnt rule out something as stupid as this happening when we can win it for the first time in 30 years.

Lets just win it as quickly as possible...

There's 79 days left from today to the last game, but it sounds like a 65 day break, rather than days cancelled? So, in theory, if they pushed all games out by 3 months and then played them, the league would be redundant, but if they cancelled it in two weeks time, it'd be fine.

Shouldn't they go through the gears first and consider playing games behind closed doors before postponing/suspending the league. Its the crowd/mass congregation risk that they are worried about more than 22 men kicking a ball about.

Just like what’s happening in Italy now..

Do we need a 65 day break between an official stand off rather than being a team who cannot be caught? Anyway we are champions. Even a bad cold cannot catch us now.
