The Hungarian international and Liverpool forward Krisztian Nemeth has expressed his eagerness to make himself shine at the club and ascend upwards into the echelons of Anfield to enter the first squad and help Liverpool come back to its former glory.

The Hungarian player’s agent, Tibor Pataky has also relayed that the player is ready to make himself a dominating figure at the Merseyside. He commented the player is hopeful that his career at Anfield will prove to be a shining beacon that will lead Kop away from its current worries and miseries.

The 21 year old player has been presented with a 2 million pound offer from the Italian club Leece but the player’s agent Pataky has confirmed that the future star will not be taking the offer as he is certain Nemeth wants to spend his future with Liverpool. He however did say that if things go to the far end, a short term loan can be put on the table as an option. The player has already been playing on loan at Blackpool and AEK Athens.

While talking to media, the agent Pataky stated, “Krisztian has a very clear opinion; he wants to stay as a Liverpool player, and his wish is to be successful as a Liverpool player, if Liverpool will give him a chance to fightâ€.

Earlier he stated about the star’s future, “For now he is back at (Liverpool's training ground) Melwood, he is working hard and looking forward. If he feels he will get a chance to make the jump into the first team, he will do everything he can to do so. But if not, then he is happy to go for maybe half a season to another club on loanâ€. This gives a clear indication that the player will not be sold and in fact might make it to the squad this year.

Nemeth played for AEK Athens at Greece last season where he scored 3 goals in 17 games, but it was his overall performance that became the reason for his success. The player is fast establishing himself as a threat to defenders and his lustrous dribbling along with finesse finishing have left many in awe.

AEK Athens have told that they are more than just interested in having the player back to play for their club and they are not the only ones that want him. A couple of Italian clubs from Serie A are trying to sign in the player too. This will indeed increase the price tag of the player a lot. It is rumoured that Inter Milan and their arch rivals AC Milan are one of the clubs that are interested in him. Roma too has been interested in the player though no approaches have yet been made.

Pataky has confirmed that there are offers being made by other clubs for Nemeth but at the moment Liverpool FC will have the final control and say over the player’s future. The agent expressed on the subject, “There have been no discussions with Roy Hodgson yet, but we know a lot about the philosophy of the manager from (Fulham's Hungarian player) Zoltan Gera. But we must stress, first it is for Liverpool FC to decide on Krisztian's futureâ€.

The player’s agent told that Nemeth right now has complete faith in Liverpool and if ever the issue arises about his return to AEK Athens then they will have to plan for it then. He also told that they were not looking for a transfer to an Italian club but that did not suggest that they were passing on an offer made by them. He informed that they were actually having a look at the bids as you never know if something worth looking might interest.

Pataky conversed telling the player has complete trust in his future with the club but the player is also a realist and of course will have a look at his options and opportunities. He told that if the Liverpool board tells him that he has a chance to play for the first team he will not let his teammates down, however if the Liverpool board turns him down he will respectfully oblige to the decision.

Nemeth is also keen to continue his development at international level, as the Euro 2012 qualification process draws nearer. So far he has played just one international match for Hungary but has a tremendous career with Under 21 and below. The player’s agent collaborated, “Of course the Hungarian national team is very important to him. He will now fight for a place in the squad for the Euro 2012 qualificationmatchesâ€.

Don't think he'll be as good as we hoped when he broke through for the reserves, but I'd still give him a go ahead of N'Gog.

It's hard to see him getting a look in now.

Shame he's suffered so many injuries and his development has been hindered. He looked fantastic in those six months for the reserves.

He's got a good agent, I'll give him that. I've always liked Nemeth. I'd much rather give him a run than resurrect Crouch's anfield career.

Wouldn't mind seeing him a get a run of games alongside Torres. I actually think this combination will do well.

But where's he been during preseason? If he'd been in Switzerland, he'd probably have played a couple of matches and we'd know if he was good enough or not.

I still remember him looking uber-classy in his first season for us, but he does look like the kind of striker who can't play up front on his own.

I think that's right. He's of the Robbie Fowler type, though not in that class, not yet anyway.

I'd like to see him picked on the bench and tried out from there for a few games. Hopefully that would give him a go without heaping pressure on him.

he sadly wont make it, i rate n'gog more and think he will make it - without wishing to tempt fate n'gog reminds me of a young trezeguet.

i said a while ago i thought he reminded me of a treza mixed with henry kind of player. he is a decent player

I watched him and didn't think he was quick enough. Maybe he can develop into a Huntelaar like player. He will never get close to Fowlers level. Not even Leeds standard Robbie.

I dont think he can, but from the little I've seen he is a good finisher..

Probably why Jules made the comparison 8)

Ngog has the inside track so its unlikely that he'll get a look in. Nemeth may be sacrificed for additional transfer funds.

2 million quid is reasonable for him but expensive for a sacrificial lamb!

It makes up a 3rd of Poulsen's reported fee. If Mascherano stays, is it likely that we'll have a sit down with palermo for Lucas. That idea is a real possibility no?

Liverpool striker Krisztian Nemeth is on the brink of completing a move to Greek giants Olympiakos.

The Hungarian 21-year-old, who has failed to break into the first team at Anfield since arriving on Merseyside three years ago, has been heavily linked with the Piraeus club this summer.

Nemeth's agent Tibor Pataky travelled to Athens on Thursday to meet with Olympiakos vice-president Socrates Kominakis and finalise the deal.

The forward is expected to sign a three-year contract with an option for a further year in a €1.3million (around £1m) deal.

The transfer will guarantee Olympiakos 75 per cent of the player's rights, while Liverpool will keep 25 per cent for a future sale.

What a shitty deal. If he was English moving to an English club we'd probably get £5 Million for him.

Who'd pay £5m?
I was exaggerating a bit with the sum. But a clearly talented striker coming from a successful stint in Greece. His value should be a bit higher.
I wonder how much Ngog is worth considering. £8-10 ?

It wasn't a successful stint in Greece. Quite the opposite, in fact. He scored 3 goals in 17 league games and spent several months out with injury.

How much did we pay for him?
Think we paid close to a mill for him and Simon in the same deal
It's £1 mill.more than they'd have offered if they'd agreed with you, Del.
Eh? I never said he was worth nothing. I simply said that he didn't have a successful stint in Greece. Which he didn't. Are you suggesting that a fee of £1m says otherwise?
