You're right, Allen wasn't on the bench, must have imagined that. But he's back soon enough.

We could use a better LB than Enrique in the long run but who's better that's affordable and wants to come this window? RB is up in the air at the moment. Johnson has been shit for the most part this season and only has 18 months left on his contract but if he comes good and Kelly/Flanagan prove themselves to be capable backups then we're sorted but we won't know until the summer.

Our midfield hasn't been as bad as people make out. Apart from the Villa and Stoke games, which had to do with the set-up rather than the personnel, it's been largely solid to outstanding since we lost to Hull. Barring an injury/suspension catastrophe, we have enough depth and adaptability in CM to get us through to the end of the season. Lose one of SSS and we're stuck relying on Moses or Aspas.

I love getting excited about players I've vaguely heard of and don't remember ever seeing play.

It takes that little while longer to realise that they're actually not as good as everyone says. And there's always the small chance that they might not be shit.

It's what the transfer window is all about.

Couldn't agree more - I hadn't a clue who Coutinho was when we signed him. In fact I never know who 95% of the players are we sign. I love my footy indifference sometimes.

By the way, Dnipro's owner is a multi billionaire so I would expect them to drive a very hard bargain for Konoplyanka. They don't need money
Look to @sereda_alex for more info on konoplyanka. Ive never disagreed with his judgement on Ukrainians. Certain he will back my opinion !

We must of been working on the deal since September if we've got it up to 90% now..... I'm sure we'll finalise it before pre-season training starts.
