As long as Rodgers continues to develop Sterling the way he's doing it, I'm all for it.
Considering how shit our fullbacks have been lately that might not be such a bad option...
If he's a good player, then I'm all for it obviously. But why on earth would we spend 15+mill on a winger when we're knackered at fullback and DM? It looks like that if he comes in, then either Coutinho or Sterling go on the bench.

Flanno has been pretty good and Cissokho has been less shite. Maye a full back can wait until the summer awell with Enrique being back in 2 weeks time aswell.

The 'were skint' comments are annoying, no-one ever has any remotely valid answer as to why we they think we are, then we sign some players and thats that until the next window then rinse and repeat.
I don't get it either Mors but am happy we are (hopefully) signing any quality, its come to that type of thinking at this stage.
Wouldn't be suprised to see a loan or 2 attempted for a midfielder and maybe FB, bet it won't be a defensive midfielder though.

We need to reinforcements in attack just as much as we do in CM and at fullback.
Enrique is back soon and Flanagan has proven himself to be pretty dependable. Who knows, maybe after a bit of time Johnson will come back and not be completely shit (if we're lucky). That's good enough to get us through to the end of the season where we'll be in a better position to judge how we can best go about improving our fullback options.
Last night our midfield of Gerrard, Henderson and Coutinho was superb and we had Allen on the bench. Those four should along with Alberto should be enough to last the six or so games until Lucas is back. But with European football next season we will need to add another quality option in DM/CM before then.
If one of Stirling, Suarez or Sturridge is unavailable who do we bring in? Someone either young with potential (Alberto or Ibe) or someone shite (Aspas or Moses), that's a huge drop in quality. That's why we are after a winger.

allen wasn't on the bench was he? Yeah he looks good and he's talented but to buy another attacker at the expense of CM is just suicide IMO. Its the weakest part of our team and winning one match doesn't change that. We should be buying fullbacks and CM before looking at attack.

I've seen him play at least 5-6 times, and I'll go out on a limb and say it. This guy is the bees knees. He'd totally make up for the disappointment of Mata going to United.
