Yevhen Konoplyanka's agent has fuelled speculation that Liverpool have renewed their interest in the Ukrainian winger.

The Premier League outfit tried to sign the 24-year-old in January, but they failed to thrash out a deal for the Dnipro star before the window slammed shut on deadline day.

However, Konoplyanka's representative, James Lippett, has sparked rumours that the Reds are ready to make a fresh attempt to land the player this summer.

If he's not great then it will be like those stories that your mate makes you tell even when you don't want to because it's too long and you really had to be there but he keeps on insisting and insisting and so eventually you tell it and when you get to the end no one laughs and you hear people saying 'I guess you had to be there' and you say 'yeah you did have to be there, it was one of the funniest things ever' and then everyone stares into their drinks and someone else tries to think of something else to say to break the uncomfortable silence.
