A few mad moments today but some stellar ones as well. Really appreciate his presence. Not sure if he's good for the whole season. May be an injury in his future...so it would be good to have backup.

That being said, I like our defense more, and I wonder if no European football this year may mean we don't need the depth overall, that we think we usually might need.

He was boss again.
Not many center halves will be able for Benteke's strength this season but Kolo's experience made up for it.

Was boss tonight. The defence looked pretty good today and a lot of it is down to Kolos presence

He did some pretty mad leaping into the backs of people when the ball was being played into our box, and there were times I felt things fell for him a little bit fortuitously when he looked a bit dodgy - but nevertheless he did most things really well and has true cult hero potential.

I was expecting another Babel incident. This time it wouldn't have been a pen imo.

Kolo Toure has kindly offered to change his name to console the dozy Liverpool fan who had the defender’s name wrongly tattooed on his foot.
The supporter, believed to be 20-year-old Dom Pearson, had the new signing’s name inked across his foot as a tribute to Toure’s promising start to life at Anfield, only to discover the tattoo artist had misspelled his surname.

"@JoshKillner: Can't believe @domjpearson made The Metro with his 'Kolo Touro' tattoo. #lad http://metro.co.uk/2013/09/04/doh-liverpool-fan-left-with-red-face-after-getting-misspelled-kolo-toure-tattoo-3950842/ …" I will change my name
12:25 PM - 5 Sep 2013

However, responding to a tweet, which seemingly outted young Dom as the unfortunate recipient of the inaccurate body work, Toure cheekily offered to change his name to save the blushes of his no.1 fan.
We wonder if Gerard Deulofeu will offer the same courtesy to Everton’s hapless club shop staff?

"He's a twat and I hate him", "It's a rubbish waste of money", "He hasn't played at this level for 10 years", "he's a fat druggy" etc..

Doing well so far, and we now have two promising young centre backs to piss on this ridiculous notion that we're "spending at Lidl now".

No European football is going to have a galvanising effect on the team but will also give us our best chance to do something special to make the Top 4. The fixture list offers us an opportunity to build momemtum and if anything, the first 3 games show real promise. All without Suarez and the integration of the new players. We have a real presence as a team this season.

Come on lads, get in and do the business.
