[article=http://hereisthecity.com/en-gb/2015/06/05/micky-quinn-why-liverpool-said-no-to-jurgen-klopp-as-next-manage/]Former Newcastle United striker Micky Quinn explained on talkSPORT what he’s been told about why Jurgen Klopp didn’t become the next Liverpool boss.
Quinn claims Liverpool have talked to Klopp over the position, but weren’t willing to offer him the level of control that he was looking for from the club.
“I hear that they talked to Klopp – He wanted complete control over transfers and some other things and they just said no,” he said.
The Daily Mail recently reported that the German coach is now planning to take a six month break from the game before reassessing his options.
It seems unlikely that Liverpool will go back to the German in the near future, although that could change if Rodgers is relieved from his position during the season, if Liverpool go through a difficult period where results suffer.

Some fans will suggest that Liverpool should have conceded to any demands Klopp had to take over at Anfield, but there is still a chance that Rodgers could rediscover the formula which saw the club nearly win the league two years ago.
Klopp could move on and tie himself down to another club for the next few years but there’s no reason why he can’t be Liverpool’s manager in the future when circumstances have changed.
