Kieta alternatives

Some of us (me included) may be panicking too early about the size and strength of the squad as we have it but i for one wouldn't be surprised if Klopp doesn't buy alternatives to the players that we've failed to get as he's done so before whilst our manager.
If that's the case then he's either being very patient so he can get exactly the players he wants for the team or stubborn to the extreme. There's no certainty we'll get either of these players if and when they become available.
What surprises me is if he can't get Keita and VVD then that doesn't mean he can't get players for other parts of the team and squad in positions we can either improve or strengthen but at the moment it looks more likely we'll play a centre half a right back in Clynes's absence which stikes me as odd. If he doesn't think Trent Alexander Arnold is ready yet to be understudy then I'd rather we get an experienced player to cover for a season or so than play someone out of position who hasn't convinced me at centre half yet never mind full back.

Jesus Christ.

And that ladies and gentlemen will be the FSG thought process and we will all be asked to swollow it.

Everton showing more ambition than us.

It has been said a number of times already. And from the posters you'd expect it from. Believe in Klopp nonsense etc.

I will 100% reserve my ire and rancour for 31st August, as it is not yet too late to pull our arses out of this fire.
But signs arent good. We may yet do the unthinkable and actually sign some fucking brilliant players (IN THE POSITIONS WE NEED THEM) and my blood pressure will drop back to an acceptable level.

Im a race car, and this has got me in the red. Im just saying you dont keep a racecar in the red.

Too late, we've shown our cards. I think it was you that said all the threads on the 1st page should be merged. Dickheads.

I thought everyone said that selling your best player would show lack of ambition and put the club in a shambolic state... but whatever suits your agenda... ;-)

This whole idea of not having alternatives is absolutely farcical. There are loads of centre backs and midfielders in the world who could improve our first 11 and the club are suggesting they have only identified 2 players for those positions. What are our scouts getting paid for?

As said plenty times, no need for panic alternatives. We are allright with what we have but will add if right deal is on the table.

Actually we are not really OK as the current injury to Gomez has shown, though I do expect VVD to join us eventually.

Looking at the FBs situation I can see it's possible Flanagan may be kept on this season. I'd like another top player in CM, Ejaria, Grujic, Woodburn may be perfect for some matches but unless they progress you wouldn't want to rely on them for a long run of PL matches - perhaps (should Henderson break down and we are left with only Wijnaldum and Can in CM).

VVD would obviously represent a right deal. But plenty "alternatives" to VVD would not necessarily do the same. In CM we can manage as well. Keita is a good addition....but based on what I saw yesterday Sanches would not be.

I completely agree, VVD is clearly the only centre back in world football for 70m who could improve us

So you will be well happy when we sign him this month for £50m then.
What a bargain. No one else in world football is close to his abilities so 50m is positively a steal for a player who had 2 good seasons (one in a Scotland) and hasn't played since January
