According to Tony Evans (on a live web cast chat) he say's that the Chinese will spend £800 million in the short term. This would be takeover price, players, and the stadium.
Where is Tony Evans getting his information from?

And he's not telling.

Did Tony Evans say how likely this is to happen now?
Don't know, still trying to find a transcript of the chat...

Evans also says that Hicks and Gillett will move heaven and earth to keep the Chinese out of Liverpool.
But they can't even lift a single spade full of dirt - so I'm not so worried about heaven and earth.

..................

The Chinese offer would make the club debt-free and also bring large-scale investment as part of a total outlay of about £800 million.

..................
I thought they had sold assets to the value of £350 million (approx), which was reported at the time as being their valuation of the club? Where is the rest of the money coming from?
Supposedly CIC only represent 20% of the consortium so maybe it is easier for them to liquify assets than the other members .... for now. On the other hand maybe they are 100% behind the bid, in which case they only need to show that they have the resources, they wouldn't have to present the full amount of their intended investment in the club, much of which will be debt anyway (stadium).
Cheers.

The club's denied to the "Echo" today that any ultimatum's been received.

Evans is clearly being briefed by someone in Huang's Gang. I'd like to know what his relationship is with them exactly, though: he doesn't seem very impartial regarding this whole story.

Wasn't Tony Evans that cretin(copyrighted Gareth) that said on talksport that Torres, gerrard and masch were defiantly leaving.

Why who's left? And anyway even if masch did leave it wasn't the worlds biggest secret.

He said on that web chat that if we're not sold by Christmas, Torres will leave.

Huang as given us an ultimatum last night

RBS has told them that Huang and the gang has got the money

Hicks and Gillette are desperatly trying to refinance through other banks, so that they can hold on to the club until the new tv deal comes along.

Torres : don't believe that for one second. We wouldn't sell mid-season anyway.

G&H : that's hardly news.

so they (the yanks) have just over a month to refinance the loan. who's to say they wont manage it, there are some seriously dodgy loan outfits and the interest they will charge doesn't bear thinking about.

I'm starting to think the only chance we'll ever be sold is when either one of those cheating clowns drop dead, get locked up in jail, or declared bankrupt.

And although either one of those three possibilities (or all 3 could happen!) may occur, they are still remotely far from happening now and in the near future.

Look at their record. Bankrupt sports franchises and all. They have been trying to refinance for ages and couldn't do it. They probably only took the RBS deal (and the ridiculous penalty payments) because they had no other option. There is no chance of them refinancing at the 11th hour.

Hi Tony, you have likely seen the Liverpool FC forums with certain posters 'ITK' who appear to have substance behind their claims especially a poster on RAWK. Do you think that they are being fed the same information as yourselves at the Times or from other sources. Thank you.

Tony Evans:
There are loads of people who get snippets of information, Pete. Some of it has been close to what I've heard. Liverpool is the biggest village on the planet. Everyone's heard a whisper. Usually from the Evertonian taxi driver.
However, it's one thing putting it on a forum and another putting it in a newspaper. But year, there are people on the forums who's knowledge I respect. Thommo's Perm on the Rattle, for instance
