Very good point. Our aspirations have been dealt a blow before a ball is kicked. Luis does need help, not least so that these incidents don't reoccur and we can compete on an equal basis.

I am not in the least surprised by this sadly. I expected 6, but that was through some rational thought. Three for the actual offence and three because of who it is and they might dress that up as previous history.
The FA are doing this because the press and a load of fucking radio phone-in knob-heads wanted it.
We are actually really are being victimised, not Suarez particularly, but Liverpool FC, and there is not a thing we can do about it.
We played the contrition game, the profuse apologies , the fine all that shit and where has it got us? - Nowhere, and whatever we did and however we handled it would not have mattered one fucking jot..
We should say we are revoking Suarez fine, give him his money back as we feel the punishment handed out by the FA is excessive still give the donation to HJC, and stick two fingers up to the FA.
Time and time again we see the FA's "justice" in action, they very seldom get anything right. There is no framework, no consistency , no justice, and it's all completely wrong and ad-hoc, it's like some fucking totalitarian state.
Having stumped up for one and a half season tickets again, I am now deprived of seeing our best player much more than I should be, OK he brought and element on himself, but still WTF.
I am also having all my hopes and aspirations for next year dashed before it fucking starts. I, my friends, am mightily pissed off tonight by being a victim of the FA

I just wonder if it's all worth it, what can I do as a fan and season ticket holder to register my disgust at the way the FA handle things? Stop going to the game, that just injures my club, they really are ruining the game for me, I don't know how much more the football supporting gene in me can take.

I would love to fucking know who sat on this panel

regards

Totally agree Vlad and can totally empathise with how your feeling as I'm very disillusioned with so much about the game at the moment , its not just this recent victimisation. It simply doesn't feel like a level playing field in so many ways and some people who are apparently here to support this club of ours seem to take a morbid delight in its demise instead of emotionally fighting for its future. I'm really really considering jibbing it. I need to sleep on it before such a decision of course but I'm thinking maybe a seasons break is in order to assess my feelings. It all feels like a chore.

Souness and redknapp saying ten games is right. Neville saying its a bit over the top. Who'd have thought it.

If Souness would have played under the FA of today he'd have been banned more than Suarez because he was a right dirty twat. He can fuck off. Especially bringing the whole respect for Hillsborough thing up especially when he did THAT interview for THAT shitty rag that was published on the date. Fuck off Souness.

As for Redknapp, he's a simpleton.

If Souness would have played under the FA of today he'd have been banned more than Suarez because he was a right dirty twat.
And this is the cruz of the problem for posters argument for selling Suarez because he's a bit of a cunt. Souness was doubly so when he played but because Liverpool were winning then, it never gets mentioned that he ruined the integrity of the club.

The wee positive out of it is that Suarez now gets a good break before and after the Confederations Cup. He's been playing non-stop since 2010, save for the mid-season 7-game and 8-game bans here and there.

Played in the World Cup in 2010, the Copa America in 2011, the Olympics in 2012, and playing in the Confederations Cup in 2013. And then the 2014 World Cup and 2015 Copa America swing around again.

He's got a good dose of Kuytamins in his diet.

I think he's at his best when hes playing regularly. Just look at the season hes after having!

But he didn't bite anyone Vlad. That would be a disgrace.

Come on Sunny, don't start measuring violence, you'll have Rosco fine tooth-combing his law books AGAIN.

The ban is a kick in the stomach, but I more or less expected it to be not just excessive, but a case of the FA saying "we'll give you more and then some. And there's fuck all you can do about it, and you know it". That's exactly what got peoples backs up from the off, because they knew what was coming. Obviously some people are too far up their own arse to acknowledge that, or maybe we're all just paranoid.

Precedents, other bans and everything else considered, in comparison to other incidents, and we're not doing a barometer of violence here, it's excessive. We all know it.

I love Souness , but this is the bloke that went out to break another players jaw and did

Not a good illustration of your point IMHO. The cnut whose jaw he broke had already kicked one of our players out of the game and, fool that he was, had decided to try and do the same to Souness. Souness was often nasty, but not to that extent.

That said, he's done himself no favours over this business.

I'd like to see the cunts taken to task over Hillsborough given it was their decision to hold it at a ground with no safety certificate and known problems. They've kept their heads down very nicely over that.

Fucking spot on Sunny. I hope they get taken to the cleaners by the families in court. For too long they've ducked out of the issue

Can't we take the FA to some sort of court and blow our transfer budget for next year suing the fuckers - I would be happy with that

As things currently stand, no we can't. On paper at least, we and all the other clubs signed that right away when we agreed to the FA's disciplinary structure. I can't help wondering though whether it would be worth getting Grabiner or somebody comparable to go through the paperwork line by line to see if there's some loophole somewhere we could think about exploiting.

As predictable as the ban was, the response from our fans has been equally so.

"The FA have it in for us" - aah the old victim mentality adoption. What a surprise that is.

Somehow the FA have instantly become the major offènder here, as opposed to the person who committed the offence in the first place. The FA did not bite Ivanovic, Suarez did.

If only as much passion was expressed in condemning Suarez's actions as is demonstrated in this moaning victim stance. If you bite another man for fuck all reasons then you are leaving yourself exposed to the outcome. That is your fault Suarez, not the FA's. if you continually get yourself into fucking shit like this then you leave yourself exposed to being given bigger offences, again - not the FA's fault.

Also, if Luis was as "distraught" with his "unacceptable" actions as our carefully managed PR strategy claimed he was then his contempt for his actions should usurp any punishment he receives. You accept whatever comes your way if you're that fucking sorry. Dictating the ban he thought he should have got demonstrates more about him and his character than any staged apology.

I'm not happy that our best player will be missing for 10 games, but I'm a lot more unhappy with him continually putting himself in situations where it could happen in the first place. Which is the reàl fucking issue here. Safe to say I'm not at all surprised with our amateur reaction as a club and supporters to the ban either.

He has left us without his services for a long long time. Not the FA. Understand that.

Strange that it's so hard to understand that people are outraged by the 10 match ban and not the victim role. Which nearly every journo, pundit and professional footballer in England think is over the top.

10 games for biting is more than you get for elbowing people in the face and breaking their jaw, pushing the ref, knocking someone out so they have a seizure and rasiscm. Thats why our fans are outraged.
6-7 games and no one would have said a word. The FA have once again showed their incompetence. Thats why people are outraged. Does Luis deserve a ban? Yes, obviously. 10 games? Fuck no.

The superfan mentality telling people how to react or how stupid they are because they feel cheated is laughable. Our fans are reacting cause he's been shafted about the length of the ban, again. Not because he's getting a well deserved ban.

It's not my fault I'm able to see things more objectively than you letallec.

Yes, clearer than quite a few of England's most famed jounralists who said the punishment is directed at the player not the crime.

It's like your first post in this thread - you assumed people defended Suarez. I still haven't seen ONE POST defending what he did - people thought it was terrible and idoitic (wording has been toned down in case children are reading). You're not going against the grain by saying he should have been banned, everyone agreed with that. People are just rightly miffed at the length, most of us thought 4-7 was likely.

No one has any issue with him stopping this shit either.
