Jovanovic confirms Reds move

Milan Jovanovic insists he still expects to join Liverpool next season despite reports the move was in doubt.

Reports emerged last week that Liverpool's Bosman move for the Standard Liege star was in doubt because of fears over Rafa Benitez'slong-term future at Anfield.

However, Jovanovic has refuted the suggestions and says he is only waiting for a work permit to make the move to Merseyside.

"For me, it's sorted," Jovanovic said. "The only thing is that my work permit is not yet in order.

"But I have until June to get it. I'm at ease. Next season I will play at Liverpool."

i have seen him play numerous times..

Initally he didnt strike me as having anything special.. but he does seem to make things happen.

i recall him dropping a bit deeper and he enjoys to run directly at defenders..

He is a bosman. So dont expect him to dominate. Similar to Voronin the guy does have talent but if he doesnt get the opportunity on a regular basis then the outcome is likely to be quite similar. In and out of the squad regularly and due to this i expect him to be incredibly inconsistant. i dont see him settling.. another reasonably talented player simply not getting enough game time to develop any decent sort of form.

Fun times ahead..

If that's the case, I hope he does fail to settle and is inconsistent. Because it'll mean Torres is fit, uninjured and playing every week.

The good thing is, that he has pace to burn. Only Krasic is faster than him in the Serbia squad according to some Serb poster on RAWK. I've watched him a number of times, and he has that couple of extra yards of pace to beat every defender.

So, if he can be an option that can play on either wing or upfront, and can run at defenders with pace and scores goals "2:1 ratio", then it's a a good move.

We desperatly need someone with pace.
