Liverpool full-back Glen Johnson has pulled out of the England squad to face Brazil on Saturday.
The Reds ace picked up a slight knock while on domestic duty against Birmingham on Monday and will not be risked by Fabio Capello.
Johnson played the full 90 minutes of Liverpool's 2-2 draw with the Blues before joining up with the England camp.
He was granted a routine recovery session by Capello in order to get over his endeavours at Anfield, but it soon became clear that he was carrying an injury.
Johnson will now return to his club for treatment, while England have no plans to call up a replacement.
Manchester United's Wes Brown is now favourite to fill the right-back role against Brazil, while Shaun Wright-Phillips and James Milner could drop back from midfield if required.
