Joao Carlos Teixeira

Taking Asbo's numbers, we sold $78m worth and acquired $107 worth. That's 29 million. Pretty low investment by FSV at this point. How do they expect their venture to bring in the big $ if they don't invest in players.

#LFC latest: Dalglish says there "may be something" in Teixeira deal claims. Very complimentary about Adidas as partnership draws to a close

Add in whatever we will get for Aquilani (who is certainly gone) and it is shockingly low!

Someone told me that the wage bill had been cut by 20 odd million too. I think Carroll is on a fraction of what Torres was on and we shipped out loads of shite who were on good contracts.

FSV haven't spent anything net. Not that any of that means you should blow money on mediocre wank. Just that there should in theory be loads more for more mediocre wank.

So? He spent about £50 Million on Carroll and Downing! That's £50 Million down the fucking drain! What the hell is wrong with you people?
I love how people are trying to make it look all peachy!

Errrr.....Hows localny trying to make it look all peachy ? He's saying they haven't invested that much. It's not been spent wisely either - someone has to be accountable for that.

Granted the net worth is around £29 Mill, but the fact remains, we had a lot of money to spend and pretty much everything we made on transfers was also spent.

This deal seems to be confirmed on the echo?

Any news?

Anybody knows how this lad plays? Is he ready or another project...if so is this the end of Suso? Gimme answers please...

These new yanks have 'invested' fuck all.
We have NET spent in two windows about 30m quid. Thats the same as we were spending under Moores and Parry in the late 90's early 00's meanwhile City are investing, Chelsea are investing. Even United spent big on De Gea, Jones and Young with nothing coming in, all were already in a position of power in comparison to us.

Obviously its nice to not be on the brink of recievership anymore and thanks for that, but ultimately we arent REALLY any better off in actual playing terms. Im unconvinced by everything at the moment.
I would very much like to see us sign some good players.

it is surprising to see how little we've spent net, but at £30m or so it's still surely a £15m or so investment from FSG considering the continuing lack of CL income.

not sure about the wage bill reduction, either. some big earners shipped out, but plenty of other big signings coming in - hard to see how we'd have achieved any major reduction, really.
I think the free transfer lads were on a fortune though. Id be very suprised if you factor in Torres 150k or whatever a week plus the huge salaries that Jovanovic and Cole and the likes were on if we havnt cut a massive chunk out of it.

Obviously they paid for the club in the past 15 months, so its not like they HAVNT spent, but on playing staff we arent moving forward. Thats a combination of lack of investment and of course lack of intelligence in the market............wweeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Both United and Arsenal have a negative net spend over the last two or three years.

It's not the case for us. We will get the usual 20 million to invest over the summer, and anything more will depend on handouts from the owners.

well, that assumes we're having all their wages paid for a start! which we obv aren't.

i saw a report somewhere the other week stating that we're still paying Poulsen £50k a week! i really, really, hope that's bollocks.
United DO NOT have a negative spend in the last two transfer windows. Thats the period of investment that the current owners have been in place. When Ronaldo left united they were miles ahead of us and since that window have invested a lot more than us.

I thought that owners never hand out money, they just provide loans to the club. I know that's the way Abromovich did it anyway. He never, or rarely at least, gave them a penny for nothing.

Given that we look like we're going to be taking on a £150m or so loan for the stadium, I can't see us spending too much more than we take in for a few years.

for accounting purposes the 'credit' has to land somewhere on the balance sheet: it's either debt (explicity due to owner) or equity (effectively debt to the owner as well).

doesn't necessarily mean anything, basically just saying it's money you (your company) owes you (literally you)!

Yep....With the stadium project weighing them down, it's impossible to go abromivic/sheik style and spend a shit load of money on players. We didn't get that kind of owner.

On whether there would be much activity in terms of signing senior players, Dalglish added: "We're expecting a quiet window. The Academy aren't, but we are."
GREAT. Nothing inspires me more than a youth cup run.

Well, usually we sell one of our best players or waste a shit pile of money on someone crap. So it probably has been one of our better windows.

Skully, hurry up with your rebuttal of capitalism you work shy student bastard. I need to know if I should start planning for the revolution or turn up to a meeting with a client this afternoon.
