He will be the new David Ngog

I hope not!

He can't be worse than Kuyt has been!

"He has not yet played for Sportin Lisbon's first team" was my favourite bit.

You just *know* he's gonna be fucking nothing.

Those who have seen him play in the Nextgen series will not agree with you. That lad is class

I think it's time FSG put down a marker on ambition. Their net investment in the club signings has been $24M so far right?

Kenoli have signed at least three bad signings of course and a few good ones. How about a statement of intent this transfer window, that we're not letting Spurs, and Arsenal pass us by. How about a sizzling striker or two like the names that Ancelotti mentioned and a proven winger.

Is it really £24m?

In

Suarez £20m
Carroll £35m
Enrique £5m
Coates £6m
Downing £20m
Henderson £13m (rising to £16m)
Adam £7m
Doni £1m

Total= £107m

Out

Meireles £12m
Torres £50m

Total= £62m

Have I missed something/someone?

PS, who are the three bad signings?

Carroll, Downing.....

Henderson is young and has shown promise, Adam is second only to Suarez in how many goals he's had a hand in, Enrique has been great, Bellamy was free and has contributed well, Coates is one for the future and Doni is a £1m bench warmer that's neither here nor there (especially in comparison to that Brazilian lad we paid £3m for, or Carson or Kirkland).

The Lucas who plays for Sao Paulo and everyone who knows these things wants us to sign is going to Inter apparently for £20m.

There goes any chance of a "We all dream of a team of Lucas's" song in the future.

I'd pronounce it Texera, cos I don't give a fuck.

Like I pronounce Coates, like it looks, not any fancy bollocks way.

Ronaldo would be playing for some bag of shite in Hungary with Nemeth if we'd have signed him.

Had such high hopes for Nemeth. Reminded me a bit of Fowler.

Normally I'd agree (the half-@rsed efforts people make without really knowing what they're doing are usually nowhere near accurate anyway) but this is a bit different. The guy himself has told us how it's pronounced and IMO it's more respectful to follow what he's said.

Mark, how are you sir? You know, I remember a calculation from someone that showed it to be $24M? Let me see if I can dig out - otherwise, egg on face.

Henderson for me, at this point is not a good signing. We need something now, not in the future. Agree with other points.

been following the club for 33 years. Am growing tired of it at this point. Too much of a roller coaster, I hate to say. The big spenders, and the lack of enforcement of FFP is ruining it for me to be honest.

Same here. He looked excellent before his injuries.

For some reason when he came back he just didn't look the same player. Rusty and lacking in confidence.

Maybe he was just having a purple patch before, who knows.

Shame.

Another one we had was an Iniesta type Spanish midfielder. I can't remember his name now but he was absolutely ravaged by injuries over a couple year period. I think he only played about three games for us but on that evidence I had real high hopes for him.
