Nope, not linked with him but is he someone worth monitoring?
[article=http://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/431372/EXCLUSIVE-Arsenal-and-Chelsea-target-Javier-Pastore-could-be-ready-for-January-move]JAVIER PASTORE could be ready to consider a move to Arsenal or Chelsea in January if he continues to struggle at PSG in the first half of this season.
Argentinian midfielder Pastore was one of PSG's first signings under their new Qatari owners, after making a £32m move from Italian side Palermo in 2011.
But the 24-year-old has largely failed to live up to expectations in the French capital and now finds himself on the fringes under Laurent Blanc.
Arsenal reportedly asked about Pastore's availability as the transfer window drew to a close while Chelsea are also known to be interested in the player.
And former PSG player and BT Sport European football analyst David Ginola believes Pastore could well be open to a move in January.
He told Express Sport: “It will be difficult for Pastore at PSG this season because he has not proved he is a regular.
“You know there have always been discussion about Javier Pastore. There are a lot of question marks.
“If he doesn’t play until Christmas he will probably ask for a move in the winter transfer window. I’m pretty sure about that."
Asked is a move to England was a possibility, Ginola said: “Why not? Anyone talented can do well in the Premier League.
“For Javier Pastore, if he stays too long and spends too much time on the bench that would be a problem for him and I’m sure his advisors will consider a move."
But Ginola says there are no guarantees that Pastore would succeed in Britain having failed in France.
He said: “I think he’s a good player but being able to do well in England is a different story.
“He hasn’t done very well in France. People were expecting much more from him.
"Don’t forget he was the highest transfer when he joined, he was the first [signing of the new owners], when Javier Pastore signed for Paris I think he cost £32m or something like that.
"No club had ever paid that kind of money in France so there was a massive, massive expectations.
"When he first started we expected him to be a Maradona or a Platini.
"In the first game he played against Montpellier he had a volley that went far post, top corner, wow! But after that it was more difficult.
“So that’s the gap between the supporters and the club at the moment."[/article]
