Yeah, I think I had watched some shit videos. Now I have watched some good ones! I've also realised how young he is (barely 22 I think). I was too quick to judge and perhaps guilty of the Dreamy method, in I am suspicious of Portuguese imports. I must say, I am coming around to him quite a bit.

As much I am desperate to win a cup, if given the choice between a cup & fifth place or no cup & fourth I'd actually take fourth this season.

That's not my usual stance, but we only got back into this again this year & klopp has proven that with cl qualification he can attract top calibre players, so we'll be able to make the improvements to the team we need to next season which will be so much better because of it. Not to mention the transfer kitty would be decimated without cl money.

I desperately want to nice shiny things, but to stand the best chance of continually being in the hunt for them & to attract top class players then we need to be considered a regular CL team, so for the second season running I think the pragmatic approach may be better.

I think Klopp thinks the same way tbh. In his ideal world he'll obv want second in the league the CL & the FA Cup.

If however we start to slip in the league or haven't been in the top 4 consistently at the time I have no doubt whatsoever he'll prioritise the league.

I saw some clips of him the other night when we first got linked to this guy. All I can say is the following:-

1) Reminds me of Zaha when he runs at the defenders.
2) Headless chicken comes to mind - yes lots of pace
3) Player from Portugal - so I like our approach to this - eh £53M ? - 'but you are Portugal so lets just say £28M and call it a deal ?' - glad this was done.
4) If we don't buy him - I would be very happy.

All I can say is that I don't think we have any intention of replacing Coutinho with an existing/possible world class talent do we ? it's all about getting next 21-23 year old so we can improve him and sell on at a high mark-up to Barca/Real/City/PSG. Also we all questioned when we signed the 'OX' - (and don't none of you lie about it) - like we were all 'what the fuck ? - 40M for what ?' - it's clear now - he was going to be the Coutinho replacement that would be in place. I don't mind that we bought him now especially after Sunday - he has drive, pace, strength and a good shot on him. But I don't think any of our midfielders can give us any creativeness that Coutinho gave us. Truth is we may not need it to the level we had to succeed in this league but it certainly makes it easier - so if Klopp has to follow that policy of signing some 21-23 year old for an eventual mega-money sale then we need a creative type.

Also reading that we are in for some Brazilian bloke named Malcom - don't like that- not what we need. We need a magician guys we need a fucking magician.
