Malouda's off form and Kalou is no better than Pienaar himself. I think the signing makes good sense for their squad at the very least.

Fairly sure he's actually the devil. Earned ridiculous amounts during Chelseas £££ day's, heard he pocketed £15m over three seasons.
Still he does seem to get his grubby mits on the majority of the talented players these days, so I guess it's a good thing he's thought to be in communication with the club, although probably not too good for the nesv piggy bank.

Aurelio's only fit for part of the season, Konchesky's not good enough and Johnson may or may not be a long-term option there. Warnock's admittedly no galactico but we could do worse, especially if we want to save money to spend on other positions.
