We can't compete with Madrid unfortunately.
Not when it comes to Mbappe. He wants the lifestyle as well. Cold, rainy, north west England just doesn't have the same appeal.

I’m not an expert in finance or Spanish FFP rules, but my understanding is that it’s not quite as simple as them having “money in the bank”.
I believe they owe a bit for stadium refurb and a lot of that money is likely one-off up front payments from the deals they signed with various investment companies that essentially got the cash, but they signed away a sizeable chunk of future income (I believe in the hope that their new partners would generate greater additional income).
Spanish FFP is different than England & indeed UEFA - so it’s not entirely clear that they won’t have to sell off some assets to balance things out for signing Mbappe.
Plus, I’m not being entirely serious.
Tried (tried 😀) to make alittle Joke here about signing Jude,Mbappe and Vinicius earlier on this tread and it was pointed out to me that "Vinicius Jr and Mbappe play in the same position" Just to follow on with that line of reasoning, Why would Real want to sign Mbappe, or Why would Mbappe go to a team where he maybe asked to play second fiddle?

Because it isn't M'Bappe that would be playing second fiddle (that much should be obvious). And Barca don't have a pot to piss in. We are never going to be in the market for a player costing and demanding that much (again - that should be obvious).Chelsea, Real and PSG are the only teams that could afford him - City don't need him (or would want the financial headache / scrutiny it would bring) after securing Haaland.
Thats because Barca are in dire financial straits. Mbappe's wages is the last they need.
Mbappe has the money, the friends, the family all at PSG. if the current manager gets sacked, I imagine Zidane will take over. That guy has delivered 3 CL trophies
The only way that I see Real buying Mbappe is if the can us Vinicius elsewhere, much like what they did with with Luis Figo and Raul (that much should be obvious)
