Rebel, that's a spectacularly bad post, even for you.
But numerous press articles fingering Benitez, the man who buys players for 20 million and who are then worth 80 million as a problem are heralded as "spot on". The same press and fans who cannot see past a few short term results or league positions
Oh fuck off Rebel. Torres is an example of this, and others are worth more than they were bought for, but what about Keane? Aquilani (who could potentially do fuck all)? Dosenna? Riera? Should I go on?
Shall we start on the £40m wasted during the Summer of 2008?
Blinkered doesn't even come close.
those sums are measley compared to what City, Chelsea and Man Utd are throwing around and lets forget they've all got 80m+ a year MORE in wage bills, imagine what we could do with that every year. we'd be able to afford loads of top quality players and I bet Benitez would assemble a top class squad but we live in reality and are more tortoise than hare
Chelsea and United aren't throwing that kind of money around now, they haven't for a couple of seasons. Infact one could argue if you look at United's squad on paper, they need some additions.
Plus the loon clearly forgets that we are consistently in the top 5 wage payers in the prem, and usually only around 15-20% off top spot (which the London clubs would argue they make up in ticket prices, and the Mancs through stadium capacity).
IF WE HAD MORE MONEY REBEL YOU SPAZZ, BENITEZ WOULD STILL BE MERRILY SPUNKING HALF OF IT UP THE WALL
I have to interject here. There's a correlation between silverware and wage bills even more so over the last 5 years. Also there's no evidence to suggest that Rafa would 'spunk' anything up any wall. We used to have the 2nd highest capacity stadium in the country. We used to regularly smash the transfer record. If you are suggesting that any manager could come in with a net spend of zero and improve us, you're in Cloud Cuckoo land.

No evidence to suggest Rafa is spunking anything up the wall?
8 million pound loss on keane in 6months
4 million pound loss on Dossena for a handful of starts
6 million on Morientes
A 20million midfielder who never plays....
And regularly smash the transfer record? Give me a fucking break. Try about a little over a handful of times.
And I wasnt suggesting anywhere above that a manager could come in and spend nothing and improve us...but I am now; Mourinho, in a heartbeat, with no doubts whatsoever.
