"It's complicated"? -- No it isn't, fuck off Barca - £113 Million bid rejected

No disagreement with the mentioned points/factors at all. As I said, I won't be surprised - not that I expect that to happen. I think there are enough irrational or nonsensical stuffs in football and quite clearly, some players/agents don't think as rationally as fans do.

Not the best of examples but there's the likes of Paulinho going to CSL and despite the supposedly lower level of football he's plying his trade in, still managed to get into the Brazilian squad (Augusto is another national team player who plays in CSL) and even earned a move to Barcd Oscar concerned over his place in the Brazilian squad when he opted for money over career?

Ultimately, it's the degree/strength of the pull factor(s). Also, between immediate future and something happening in a year's time, isn't the former of more concern and urgency (who's to guarantee a player won't suffer injury which may jeopardise his chance of WC participation)?

Hypothetically speaking: he refuses to play, come Jan, his valuation depreciate and it will be decision time between selling for a lower (but still decent) amount of money or continue freezing him out of the team (but until when?). If he gets sold then, he would still have half a season left, without suffering burnout from the hectic yr end schedules too).

Btw, Suarez's situation was different too, wasn't it? When we got into the situation of asking him to stay on for a further year, the only official bid was Arsenal's while there were numerous top sides sniffing around him.

Meanwhile, there's the likes of Costa and Dembele in similar situation too and little sign of relenting their stance. Just to iterate, not saying he will do it but I just won't be surprised IF that ever happens.

He had Scolari as his manager, which probably helped no end.

This is depressingly predictable.

These stories are going to continue to rumble on, disrupting our season & pissing off our fans. By the time we get to the end of the window a lot of our fans will be saying "fuck him, we're better without him, the little rat" etc.

At this point, Barca put in a bid of 130m with hours of the window to go. The owners look at it, & start pondering the fact that this summer has seen a dramatic increase in prices & there's a chance that by the next window the prices could be back to normal & we could have had an asset drop in value from 130m to 80m.

Their lizard brains will look at the bottom line, look at the fact that fans will accept the sale after all the bullshit upset that's been caused, & sell, all the while trying not to look happy about it, despite dancing a jig inside.

[article]"Coutinho and Dembele are both close," Segura told TV3. "We are hopeful that they will end up wearing the Barca shirt."

He added: "Until deals are closed I can't say anything. We know we have to help the team and reinforce it and that's what we are doing."[/article]

Well, either they've just breached a shit load of FIFA rules, or we really are fucking dickheads and this is happening. If we sell and then go on a transfer spree, I hope it's treated with the disdain it deserves, because it's the only reason we'll be spending big before the 31st.

FSG are fucking cunts, I hope they get a shitload of backlash and fan pressure for this, lying fucking gravy train wankers.

Why would anyone put any stock in what Barcelona are saying, and then use it as a stick to beat FSG with?

I mean, they actually scheduled an unveiling for Coutinho last week.

It's got more to do with the their refusal to contemplate any club in the world not simply capitulating when they come calling for a player.

And now that we know they NEED Coutinho to avoid this season being a complete disaster, they have have him for more than 200million.

Because we, incl the fans, are dickheads

I for one is happy that there are no hysteric knee jerk reaction to that clown from Barcelona coming out admitting "he has done everything he can without success and no all he can do is cross his fingers and prey 20 ave Marias that one of the cases solve itself magically or they are in deeper shit than ever before" directed at us.

Oh...

It's worth noting that the talks about scheduled official unveiling of the player were via the papers/journos whereas this latest 'update' is an actual quote from their GM.

Nah. Their DoF. Same clown in their org as the one telling the world that we beat City and Chelsea to VVD signing in our org.

"We are close and hope to sign them" after being humiliated by Real?

Oh...

It's not really a knee jerk reaction when it's a direct quote from their club, on the back of weeks of this bollocks. Not forgetting a pretty disastrous Summer from us. So no, it's not "knee jerk" or unfounded.

So our Club statement says: "The club’s definitive stance is that no offers for Philippe will be considered and he will remain a member of Liverpool Football Club when the summer window closes."

The Barcelona one says something wishy washy that they work to strenghten the team (no shit Cahrlie??) and hope Coutinho and Dembele signs shortly.

Fans wanted long time ago FSG to tell Barca to fuck off. They told Barca to fuck off. No they are the shit faced lying cunts that deserves the ultimate backlash of everything in this world? Knee jerk is not even suited to describe that.

Oh I know, it's not like they've got form. Oh.

So technical a Director of Football, or DOF as we have in our Club. Call him what you want, but he has had a terrible summer in player logistics, has an ageing squad, a new coach, shitload of cash burning in his pocket that he doesn't seem to know how to use. Surely had our DoF had the same Challenges we would have called for his head, instead we bow in awe to him and call our staff cunts.

Oh I know, it's not like they've got form. Oh.

So what do you really want?

You scream like a girl about FSG being lying cunts and deserve whatever hell and thunder can be brought upon them. But so far they have stated that Coutinho is not for sale, and they have not sold Coutinho. So what do you really want?

Either you want them to not sell Coutinho (which they so far haven't done) but then they are not the lying cunts you are all on about.

Or you want them to sell Coutinho, which then woulld make it fine for you that they didn't keep their promise of not sellling him.

You can't have both can you?

Meanwhile, in Boston the Red Sox are heading the American League East Division and are well placed to make the play-offs. That's where John Henry will be focussing on at the moment

Why is it knee jerk to call FSG cunts when they clearly are? In case anyone hasn't noticed its two weeks to the end of the deadline, the season has started and we've spent the square root of fuck all to strengthen the team.

We've been fucking around for nearly three months chasing shadows!

We've made it to the CL qualifiers and it seems to me, at any rate, that we will only be adding real depth to the squad on the back of the sale of one of our best players.

Haaaaaang about. I'm not saying FSG are/aren't cunts, but I think it's kneejerk off the back of this. Before this all went down, it seems that FSG were happy to spunk 100-150mill on VVG and Keita, only for their clubs to tell us to fuck off at any price - that isn't FSG's fault. IF Klopp told them not to buy anyone else or no one else fitted the profile he wants (we dont know either way), then again, that isn't FSG's fault.
They may well be lizards, but we have no clue what so ever what is going on behind closed doors, none at all. No of us know what we're doing on the transfer front, FSG could be working their balls off on a list Klopp gave them, they could be doing fuck all. All presumption based on tidbits people are reading from bullshit papers.
