"It's complicated"? -- No it isn't, fuck off Barca - £113 Million bid rejected

It's funny though the little cunt doesn't have a leg to stand on. If we stand our ground and force him to stay he can't do anything because it's a world cup year. He has to make nice in order to play or there will be no World Cup for him. Screw him and whoever advised him to turn in a TR.

Already losing interest in this season, everytime we are in a position to really kick on we seem to implode for some reason or another.
It's not the end of the world but still it's pretty shitty

True. We already have a 130 Millions or therearound to spend before we need the Barca money to strengthen... but anyway, we refused it so now we focus on football. Should we close this thread?

Maybe we should buy his replacement (whomever that may be) now with the money we're not spending on Keita and VVD and then let Coutinho have a full season with the U23 team. And make him clean the boots for the first team players. And take whatever is his favourite food in the canteen off the menu whilst making him eat fish fingers every day but not the nice cod ones but the shit pollock ones (unless he likes them the weirdo).
We should also organise two or three trips over to Italy and have the club pay for a big fuck off barbecue at Lucas's house but not invite Coutinho.
Basically make the little cunt pay for not loving this club like the rest of us do.

Finally someone thinking straight and not going all OTT.

Basically those cunts Leipzig were waiting to see how much cash we would get for Coutinho then bump the price for Keita.....

And therefore we werent playing that game and wanted Keita before Coutinho left... now we at stalemate.... the same with VVD too I bet....

Transfer windows are bullshit nowadays.... money has ruined football completely and June - August is a complete shower of shit ruining the season ahead.

Booooo

I get that there's no loyalty these days in football, and a player is entitled to be pissed off if a big money move is blocked, but it's a bit rich when the likes of Coutinho then start stories about how 'hurt' and 'angered' they are by the club's 'failure' to allow an 'amicable' move happen. What's the club supposed to do - simply accept the offer, arrange for a soft-focused 'I would like to thank the fans/YNWA' valedictory video to be filmed and then wave him off at the airport? Anything other than that and LFC are evil, wax moustache-twirling, Dickensian cads? What a load of tosh. If the little twerp wants to captain Brazil in the World Cup next summer he'd better shut up, work hard and do all he can to excel on the pitch.

I share Count's suspicions. If we landed Keita we probably would have allowed Coutinho to go and that has been something Coutinho was aware of.

Now that its gone tits up he's pushing things

i know. so he gets to swan off to barca reputation intact leaving the owners to get lynched by the fans? i don't believe anything that's coming out anyway.

It's Torres to a fucking T this

Coutinho's probably being led by the nose here though. Those advising him are doing this to try and protect the "brand" by casting the club as the villains of the piece, and I doubt he has the strength or independence of mind to resist being swept along by it all.

We hold the power here, either knuckle down in a world cup year or you willbe a bit part player this season....

The fact is, he will be worth more next summer if he concentrates on getting in the Brazil team for the WC this season and after the WC itself.

Better off keeping no matter what.

I was F5ing this saga so badly today I missed my train station at the end of the line. The train was half way back before I realised. If you didn't think Coutinho was a cunt before, you should now.

Do you really think the owners have the balls to run that risk? He could put in abject performances, and brazil could be shite next year.

It's stick or twist. And i think they'll sell (whichever one that is in my analogy)

I do think the owners have the balls to run that risk, not least because of the damage they'll now do to their own reputation if they decide not to. He won't be a Liverpool player beyond next summer IMO but I can certainly see him staying until then.

Yeah, he will be worth the same or more the way transfer figures are going....

Why do we need to sell....

I think Sakho's current predicament should fully indicate how likely the owners are to not give a shit about depreciating assets

I agree 100%. But maybe they are better off keeping a low profile on VVD the next week or so.

Would offering £120m for Dele Ali be a crazy move? I'd swap them in an instant all things considered and he's a Liverpool fan.
