"It's complicated"? -- No it isn't, fuck off Barca - £113 Million bid rejected

Would offering £120m for Dele Ali be a crazy move? I'd swap them in an instant all things considered and he's a Liverpool fan.

Considering they might have an 800+mill debt to pay off after their ground is finished, Levy might struggle to turn down any 100+mill offers for any players.

Do you really think the owners have the balls to run that risk? He could put in abject performances, and brazil could be shite next year.

I really don' think it would make any sense for him, after a month of brooding, not to push on and perform at his best. A shite season would damage his international career just when he was set to be established as one of the main men, and possible captain, and would also threaten any subsequent move he might want to make. There's no guarantee Barca would definitely come back for him if he really had a stinker of a season, and he'd probably get a less lucrative deal - his best chance of gaining some of the initiative is to have such a good season he'd be allowed to leave on his terms.

I share Count's suspicions. If we landed Keita we probably would have allowed Coutinho to go and that has been something Coutinho was aware of.

Now that its gone tits up he's pushing things

Soooo, we get the best of both worlds... nice!

Even Mickey is pissed off with him:

Tweeting this to Phil.

I do think the owners have the balls to run that risk, not least because of the damage they'll now do to their own reputation if they decide not to. He won't be a Liverpool player beyond next summer IMO but I can certainly see him staying until then.

To be fair all the owners have said is that he will remain a member of Liverpool football club. Our adult membership is 39.99 for people living in Europe (http://www.liverpoolfc.com/membership/adult). I am sure Coutinho can afford to be a member with his Barca wages 😉

There isn't a chance that any good player won't want to go when Barca or Real come knocking...
It's a question of timing.

If we hold out long enough, Barca either gets Demebele - which case they'll drop their interest - or they won't, in which case Coutinho better play his balls off for us so Barca come back next summer.

It's too bad we couldn't get Keita this summer otherwise I think we could let this young man go..

From a Spurs blog :

Barcelona have made initial moves to try and sign Christian Eriksen, according to The Independent.

That comes after Liverpool definitively ruled out selling Barcelona’s priority target Philippe Coutinho. However, Coutinho has now submitted an official transfer request at Liverpool. The Brazilian is reportedly unwilling to play in the Merseysiders’ opening game of the new Premier League season against Watford on Saturday.

That could be good news for Spurs. If Barcelona sign Coutinho, their interest in Eriksen is certain to cool. Liverpool have rejected Coutinho’s transfer request and have the right to keep him at the club against his wishes, but that might be difficult.

The Independent claims Barcelona’s initial moves to lure Eriksen were made “through intermediaries”, suggesting the La Liga giants are yet to make an official approach for the Dane.

Well, we've lost Lallana for months and Coutinho is injured and also fucked off. That's great creativity lost, going into such a big season. I really hope some bellend doesn't think that the Ox is the answer to our woes. He might be a good squad addition, but only if we have those two available. Otherwise we should be in the market for a top quality playmaker.

The losers right now are Barca.

They're wandering around Europe at the end of the transfer window with a big bag of cash and no takers....

They're going to end up paying 222m Euros for Luan from Gremio. or. The OX

This transfer window has been an absolute piece of shit. A bumbling clusterfuck, you might say.

I hope so, because the club pulled off a blinder with Suarez.

We sold him for ten million below his release clause. We did well getting another year out of him, but I wouldn't say the sale was a blinder, nor the replacements.

We kept him an extra year, despite his supposed clause, got an extra £30million on top of the supposed clause, and nearly won the title thanks to him staying. It was the very definition of a blinder.

cuntinho's camp now rolling out the 'he's upset at treatment by klopp and their relationship has become increasingly strained over the last six months'.

Apparently he's been frustrated at his role in the team... He's been frustrated at being the main man and being given a platform to excel? This is sounding increasingly like a desperate last ditch by his camp to force the move through, hopefully we stand firm.

Absolute joke. The past six months? He had a great manager who was improving him and planning further improvement in a deeper position this season.

Different season, different manager, same old shite. This is what happens when your ambitions notoriously extend as far as looking good on paper. The continuous inability to secure major signings, to spend well, to spend amitiously and to compound positions of strength, is exactly why we continue to lose our best players.

Not even a manager as well respected and well sought after as Klopp, can operate sufficiently and sustainably under this fucking shambles.
