"It's complicated"? -- No it isn't, fuck off Barca - £113 Million bid rejected

I'm not sure they do. We simply don't compete with the oil clubs or the Spanish clubs. They operate in a different league, financially, with what they pay - and pay for -players.

We were willing to pay £70m-odd each for two targets this summer. That is okay. We don't need to shell out £50m for right backs like City do.

That dates back to pre-historic times:

Day One: Man runs into cave saying T Rex on its way. Everyone stays to confirm the claim. Everyone is eaten.

Day Two: Man runs into cave saying T Rex is on its way. Everyone decides to flee, but with the intention of forming a committee at a later date to decide on retribution if the original warning proves to have been unfounded.

haha

Don't see too may T-Rex's on twitter these days. Things just not like they were back in the day.

What the hell is going on…
Liverpool fans went into meltdown this lunchtime when Sky Sports reported that Coutinho has handed in an official transfer request.

But trusted Liverpool sources such as James Pearce and Melissa Reddy are claiming it’s entirely false.
They’ve contacted the club and the Echo has published a piece suggesting the transfer request is completely false.
“Liverpool insist they have not received a transfer request from Philippe Coutinho,” they wrote.
“Reports suggested that the Brazil international had taken steps to try to force a move to Barcelona after owners Fenway Sports Group declared he would be staying put during the current window.
“However, the Reds are adamant that as it stands no transfer request has been submitted.”

Now, we can only wait for an official statement from the club, just hours after FSG released one claiming the Brazilian is not for sale at any price this summer.

I thought I'd check what that really reputable broadcaster TalkSport is saying. Jim White is getting incredibly angry if callers question his claims. Not irritated, but REALLY angry. It's quite laughable.

You have to laugh don't you?
We made this kid what he is and he hands in a TR the second the club make a definitive statement.
Shambles doesn't do it justice. We are a bunch of amateur cunts.

Do you believe this? I know SSN is saying this but nobody close to the club is giving it the slightest credence.

Is it possible that Reddy and Pearce's sources wouldn't know about a transfer request immediately ?

This whole 'amicable terms' nonsense that's coming from Coutinho's people is grating.
He's as fake and sneaky as any other player that's tried it.
Absolute rat.

Why do we bother making an official statement though? Klopp in his interviews was clear enough. Besides, the timing of its release is perplexing too (a bit like "hey, windows closing, CL qualifier round the corner, we have no time to bring in replacement so leave us alone ok"). May have missed it but didn't see the likes of Arsenal, Leipzig and Southampton make such official club statements. Are we expecting some form of apology from Barca like the one we made to Southampton? Anyway, do we truly believe such statement works?
