FSG Official Statement just released.

The club's definitive stance is that no offers for Philippe will be considered and he will remain a member of Liverpool Football Club when the summer window closes.

So a massive fuck you to all the conspiracy theorists ... and Barca 😉
 
Can't believe that there were pundits out there saying that selling him for 70-80 was good business.

Klopp made it pretty clear that if the offer had come in at the start of the window , he would be gone.

At least when the board released that 'Torres will not be sold' statement there was a day or so before Torres put in his request. This is downright embarrassing. If you're going to make a statement, make sure you can and will back it up. If FSG change their position now they'll have lost all credibility. At least if they'd made the statement early on in the summer there'd be wriggle room for them to claim certain factors had changed. They've put themselves in a real mess here.

I'm not sure they do. We simply don't compete with the oil clubs or the Spanish clubs. They operate in a different league, financially, with what they pay - and pay for -players.
