"It's complicated"? -- No it isn't, fuck off Barca - £113 Million bid rejected

Sooo ... Am I the only one that would hit the "Yes" button if Barca offer £100m+ ?

Couthino is not the same as Suarez, Torres or (for the less young) Owen. He's a top player no doubt but parrallels to previous sales don't hold water with me. I'd suggest Mane is our best player and Llalana is a reasonable sub for the CM distrib/assist role

[edit] Ooops just made Adam Welsh!

In college we used to go up the canyon to rivers of mountain snow melt after fitness sessions. Once you accepted that the tenders were going to hate you it worked a charm to keep away soreness.

Sell.
I don't think he is top class.
I actually thought he was better when he first arrived and was playing others in. Then he started to shoot and try to be the man and his team output suffered and he became as wasteful as Garcia.

28 premier league (25 starts 3 off the bench), 13 goals and 7 assists. I wish the rest of our players would be so wasteful.

I rate Lallana higher than that but, in terms of your overall point, "reasonable" doesn't win you titles. Every player ultimately has his price and, if those chiselling cnuts at the Camp Nou offered the £135 mill.figure mentioned in one or two reports, we'd have to consider it, but in today's market that's the kind of money we've got to look for in Coutinho's case. The reason for that is twofold: (a) Coutinho is genuine top quality, and (b) there'll be an effect associated with selling him which will go even beyond finance or individual player ability, namely the risk of reinforcing the impression that we're a selling club. We need to get an absolute shedload of money for our most saleable asset in order to justify running that risk.

Coutinho is a match winner with his ability to unlock defences and score , Lallana , whilst ace is not .

There's a reason one is subject to a massive Barca bid and the other not

Coutinho has ‘absolutely no idea’ what Catalan press are talking about

Last night, Liverpool fans were given the very reassuring news that the club has no intention of selling Coutinho, despite Spanish media outlets talking up the possibility of our Brazilian joining Barcelona…
Melissa Reddy confirmed as much in Goal, suggesting Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool won’t budge and our no.10 is happy at Anfield – not agitating for an exit in any way.

The likes of Sport and Mundo Deportivo are closely linked to the Catalan giants and often help unsettle their transfer targets with bold stories about Barcelona closing in on them… Real Madrid do it too with Marca; and it famously worked on Tottenham duo Gareth Bale and Luka Modric.

But a tweet last night from Brazilian football journalist @BrazilStat, who’s given us a very interesting interview before, claimed that the player himself is genuinely confused by the lies made up in the Catalan press that he’s already agreed personal terms with Barca.
From a source close to #Coutinho‘s entourage: player has “absolutely no idea” what Catalan press is claiming about asking the club to leave.

So there you have it: despite Barca bidding £72m (it was rejected out of hand), the player hasn’t agreed anything with Los Cules and is currently enjoying Liverpool’s training camp in Germany.
This is the situation and we’re completely sure he’ll be wearing red at the start of the campaign.
