Ings injured

Ffs. Well Klopp seemingly didn't fancy him anyway, shame. Ahhh well, hope he gets well and back to action soon and gets a move to another team in the league, not sure about the fee though with now both knees dodgy.

No doubt that Dutch dickhead of a coach will claim Klopps training methods are the cause

Well, this must be devastating for the bloke.

At this point it doesn't look like we will miss him unless we are to lose a couple of other forward options to injury though.

The problem is those games where we would be better off playing two strikers. We're one injury away from losing that option, thereby becoming predictable over the second half of the season, and falling down the table.

Shite luck that lads had since joining us. Gutted for him & the club.

Was seriously hoping for him to get a shot at the first team soon.

Gutted for him. Seems a top lad and has just fought his way back from a similar injury.
Is that his 3rd knee injury now? So unlucky.

After all the work he's done, largely on his own, for a whole year, that's heartbreaking. And given what's happened now, he'll be treated to an even longer period of rehab before he's allowed to do full training, so there's a dismal year or even more for him to endure. Poor man.

Sad that it's happened this way, but the road is open now for Woodburn to accelerate ahead and try to get into the first team squads on a regular basis. That could happen after Christmas.

Can't imagine how that would feel. So that's basically 2 years without football. Pretty much a death blow. Some players just seem more susceptible to knee injuries.

The second is reminiscent of what happened to Fowler when he came back from a fairly long lay off. He worked like hell to impress, tried far more tackles, and inured himself again as a result. You can manage a player during rehab and prepare him mentally but once they get back on the pitch and the adrenaline starts pumping again, there's always a risk.

Didn't Rossi do both of his knees aswell? I think that was the end of him when he did, hope that isn't the case for Ings, but he'll be 25/26 when he's back playing regular football if he comes back, and he's still seen as a bit green behind the ears at the top level. It's a shame, as he seems a real decent lad and a grafter, then you've got some that swan around like Balotelli that earn millions and get move after move to top clubs.

Devastated for the lad. After such brilliant form for the reserves recently, was expecting him to kick on from there.

Bloody bad luck that. Gutting but he's being handsomely paid and it's sadly a part and parcel of the game. And luck plays a huge part in a footballer's life at every age and level.Very sad all the same for him. He seems like a popular lad and works hard, he may well come back and have a part to play here, or he'll get a move somewhere else. Either way we have a host of hungry young forwards who can hopefully take his place in the pecking order. And that's to their good luck.

I have no idea what any of that means.. 'sarnies'.. 'top bit missing'..

Is this Dutch lingo for drugs? IS IT?!
No. It's a one of these fuckers.
