dvd. bought it ages and never got around to watching it.

You're not really missing in then are you ? I mean - it's a dvd. 😀

Haha, obviously Glock never saw Leto play. But apparently, Lisandro is genuinely two footed. He also scored against us in the CL playing for Porto and Lyon, which makes me wonder why Rafa didn't buy him since that appears to be one main requirement for a player purchase: cf Crouch.

Lisandro Lopez

I think it's bang on Glocky. Though some Argie's only use one of them to stand on.

He was out injured for a while av,came on as a sub against city and took his goal well.

Whens rvp due back for them?

Haven't had time to read through every page, but it was suggested in the last few weeks that we were looking at Lisandro Lopez from Lyon for 12-15 million.

He would be a magnificent signing. And two footed like all Argies.

Edit: 14.5 million according to the Daily Fail http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-1320276/Liverpool-Tottenham-keeping-tabs-Lyons-14-5m-rated-Lisandro-Lopez.html
Really? I hadn't read that. I've seen him a few times for Lyon this season, and I do really like him. He's not the most skilful forward in the world, but he's incredibly passionate. A bit like Tevez in that respect. I think he'd be a great signing as he can play both the lone striker role (if Torres is injured) and the supporting striker role (just behind Torres). I doubt we'd get him for £15m though - didn't Lyon pay more than that?

Michel Bastos has been even more magnificent for Lyon in those games though. Fast, incredibly skilful, direct, and scores and creates plenty of goals. A bit like Malouda with more pace and flair (though perhaps less upper-body strength).

Trouble is they're both 27, so would NESV sanction big-money deals for them?

Llorente
I really really really want us to sign Llorente, surely he would be availible for £15mill ish. Him, a free/cheap Diarra and I'd be happy. We need a proper DM, not Pucas or Poulson.

Matta, Young or Hernandez chucked in would be great, but I think that's pushing it.

I havent really been following Arsenal, how's he doing these days?
Injured ever since the WC.

Not anymore though and he took his goal against Citeh with style. According to himself he's never been in better shape nor felt stronger than now.

With Bendtner and Chamakh firing on all cylendars (Chamakh's started brightly for them) it's going to be a rather difficult task for Van Persie to claw himself back in. If he does that however they'll have quite a surplus upfront and one will be left out. I actually don't believe Bendtner will be one however a nice bet could perhaps tempt Wenger.

I know people on here doesn't rate Bendtner but he's got more or less all the qualities to become a top Premiership-striker. And as he's even capable of playing in the whole or on the wing in a 4-3-3 he'd be a perfect match for us. Big, strong, techically gifted and a great eye for his team-mates as well. Made a lot of assiss last year too.

..................GERRARD................PASTORE..........................
AFELLAY.....................................................................BALE
..........................TORRES........BENDTNER.........................

And if you then add the likes of Kuyt, Raul and Cole on the bench we'd be laughing all the way to the title.

I'm probably mad but i'd rather sign Andy Carroll than Llorente.

Pato would be my dream signing, never gonna happen.

Exciting and possible signings? Hmm Sanchez or Hazard perhaps.

Houghton signed a few months into the season I think.

I believe Barnes did try to get a move to other clubs but we were the only ones who made an offer at the time! I think he wanted to go abroad.
His agent was hawking a video around other clubs, I seem to remember , ground breaking in those days.

I've never been an advocate of "buying British" as a priority but as i've seen very little European football recently my 3 are all British.

Gareth Bale £30m
Andy Carroll £15m
Adam Johnson £20m (City will struggle to keep him happy as Milner & Silva seem to be the wide men of choice).

The formation below would allow us to attack on so many fronts, with the wide men able to swing in crosses for Carroll or cut in themselves as they like to and shoot or feed Torres. All the while Gerrard and Meireles are beavering down the middle, linking up with nando.

---------------------------------------Pepe------------------------------------

G. Johnson------------Skrtel---------------------Agger--------------Carra

A. Johnson-------------Gerrard-------------Meireles-------------Bale

--------------------------Carroll---------------Torres--------------------

League Champions 2011.

Luis Suarez (20m) ST
Van Der Vaart (20m) CF/AM
Bastian Schweinsteiger (30m) LW

Still sticking by this, I think that's us sorted. Not sure how feasible they all are at those prices (or any price), but anyway..

Tottenham will probably push the price for Thunderfart up too high for us, if we're spending big elsewhere at the same time.

I like the look of the other two though.

City wouldn't sell us Adam Johnson, and certainly not for £20m.
Ok, £25m & Lucas.

It's theoretical, BM said buy a number 10, so....

Lads, we won't be signing Bale, Johnson or VDV. Rivals won't sell to us.

I think we need to look at the likes of Mata, Defour etc.
