It's hardly another KHL spot Avvy. Poulsen is 30, has played in Spain, Germany, Italy and has played in World cups. We are all well aware of him, the worry is that he isn't anywhere near as good as Masher.

Haha fair enough I reckon.. he's a good tidy player and a bargain at £4M really.

If he finds his feet quickly and adjusts well to the pace of the Prem he could end up beeing a bit of a fans favourite due to his commitment and never-say-die attitude. And he's a footballer too but no Masher in terms of covering ground. Much more a holding midfielder.

He may end up beeing a cheap back-up without ever really setting the world alight but he's certainly worth the punt. Much better than some posters on here seems to be aware of.

The move's been delayed according to the Post:

CHRISTIAN POULSEN’S move to Anfield has hit a stumbling block with Liverpool unable to afford his arrival until Javier Mascherano departs.

Discussions have been ongoing with Juventus midfielder Poulsen after the player was earmarked as a replacement for the wantaway Mascherano.

The 30-year-old, who it is understood has been offered a three-year contract, was given permission to withdraw from Denmark’s squad for the game against Germany after Liverpool agreed a fee of around £6million for his services.

However, the deal can only go through once funds have been raised by the departure of Mascherano

I just didn't spot him out.

As things has turned out however I can only say I'm of the belief it's a very good signing pound for pound. And a few posters on here will most certainly be pleasantly surprised with his involvement.

So he has signed but the transfer is delayed or are you just talking bullshit?
 
I don't mind a cheap replacement in Poulsen so long as we use the other 20-25m we get from Masher towards getting a top forward player and solid LB.

I would have loved to have seen Ozil playing behind Nando, but in J.Cole we have a similar player already.

Poulsen might be a couple of rungs below Mascher, but if in essence we'd be swapping Mascher for him + (for. e.g. Higuain/Forlan/Aguero/Fabiano) then frankly I'm all for it. The fear is we'd sell Mascher, buy only Poulsen and the owners keep the rest.
