If you're happy and you know it...

If Coutinho joins Sturridge then I think it's been about as good a transfer window as it was realistic to hope for.

Borini - I have a hunch he'll eventually win fans over as a hardworking player more than a scoring striker.

Assaidi - Cheap buy at a time when we seriously lacked depth; I think his transfer needs to be understood in that context. It's easy to look back now that we have more wide players and say that this was a spurious trade, but at that time, our wide players consisted of an underwhelming Downing, a new arrival in Borini and two youngsters in Suso (not his position as well) and Sterling. He probably should've gotten more minutes, but at least he's not a dud.

Allen - I'm sure he'll come good again; the quality is definitely there... I'm not sure if the lack of a proper pre-season for conditioning work and the fact he'd played almost as many games by January as he had in the whole of last season (for both club and country) are legit excuses, but we'll see next season. I still believe the guy will shine again but Henderson is rightly ahead of him right now.

Sturridge - Wanted him as part of the Torres sale, so I'm happy he's here now.

Coutinho - Don't know anything about him; not impressed by what I've seen in clips of his performances in various games (Juve, Juve again, Parma, Palermo...) - seemed to look out of control or clumsy when he tried to take on his man; but that's just that - clips. Looking forward to see how he does.

Overall - in 2 transfer windows, we've improved the squad depth, added a starter, and added a couple of guys who might be regular starters in future, depending on whether they get back into good form or settle into the league. I think Rodgers' transfers have been decent. The grade might go up or down next season depending on how these guys perform obviously.

Nope. We need no nonsense, big, physical DM, failure to sign one will be a poor window in my opinion.

Damn, we're like the new Arsenal.

I'd like to see Borini played up front and not as a wing-forward. Problem is Sturridge is ahead of him.

I'd like to see Borini demonstrate some footballing ability. Even just a glimpse.

I'm not writing him off just yet, but I've yet to figure out what he actually does well.

I genuinely dont know what to think about our team at the minute. Confused and bemused more anything.

It's difficult to make a call now because the argument is that he's bought with the future in mind so it's a case of what and see... and that's probably just as well for Rodgers because right now Allen and Borini are looking like a waste of money. Let's hope there is light at the end of the tunnel.

I'm wondering what some people were expecting. This window has been about as good as we could have hoped for. We've made 2 great signings an I'm happy with that. Yes, we need to improve on other areas, but with our budget, that was never going to happen in 1 window.

The real question will come after the summer window.

Overall, with Rodgers' signings I'm not too impressed. I do have faith in him though.

Sturridge - I'm happy with this, was always a fan and he looks to have hit the ground running
Coutinho - Never seen him play, and I'm not too impressed with what little clips I've seen of him. I think he'll be a good signing, but think we had more pressing concerns.
Allen - I would say I'm slightly on the negative side of the fence with this one. Although, I'm still willing to give him time
Assaidi - God knows.
Sahin - That was unfortunate. He should have been a good signing, just didn't work out.

Am I missing anyone else?

Borini and Yesil spring to mind.

Not sure if Suso was one of KD's or BR's.

Righth now it's all potential meh stuff. Nothing to say we are moving into forth next season. Our manager is underwhelming on a consistent basis, and that's more of a worry. How fecking hard is it to win a few big games for Christ sakes. Having said that, I feel marginally better than under kd this time last year

I don't think much of his summer transfers. Borini is unexciting and has been poor so far, Assaidi was pointless (but cheap), and Allen not really a player we needed to be spending £15m on.

But I really really like Sturridge and Coutinho. Sturridge I've always liked as a player amd felt he just needed the right platform to go on and be a top class striker, and Coutinho IMO is, bar Suarez, the most exciting signing since Torres.
Therefore the most exciting signing since Suarez?

Pretty fucking happy with the purchases in this window.

I still have hope for Allen and Borini.

Damn me and my patience !

Borini has flopped so far but then a broken bone is hardly what you need to settle in, im still hopeful about him, he left Chelsea where my Chelsea pals assure me he was rated in order to play and tgat shows hunger and playing in Rome is no joke so.... he needs a goal for sure. Assaidi was a cheap punt, i'm not sure if it is time yet to rip up the betting slip but fuck knows. Allen is dissapointing but then our midfield has been woeful this season, Gerrard a shadow of himself, Lucas rehabilitating etc. I'm still not convinced about Shelvadonna. I'm pleased the Henderson has started to settle in and actually play, it is also encouraging to see Suso and Sterling come in. Coutinho is the kind of exciting gamble that many of us want to see but a gamble nonetheless, i hope he is a flair packed goal scoring muthafucker, we will see. Pleased with Sturridge and Coutinho but IMO they should have been bought in August not when we are 7 points of fourth with only 14 games left, i dont see us outscoring the 3 teams above us by 1/2 a point a game unless we get a really great confidence boosting win, we've been way too inconsistent and leaky but then again run ins are always intriguing... u never know... a sneaky lucky win against City... bit of wind in the sails... fingers crossed.

I obviously hope I'm wrong, but I haven't seen much to be positive about with regards to Borini. He's not particularly quick, skillful, strong, etc... sure he's got great movement, but what's the point when he can't finish when he is in position?

Given a few consistent starts he'll prove his worth, of that i've no doubt
