Odd how Origi has looked less useful up top than Aspas (at least Aspas had a good season before and after us... Origi was wank in France) , and is afforded some sympathy and time, yet Markovic is shite

Truly perplexing

Yep, I've been guilty of it too but almost never young players.
I've seen some glimpses of Origi that indicate that he isn't as crappy as most think but I'm still on the fence regarding him. But one thing I've learned is that he isn't a centre forward. Not yet anyway.

Origi is obviously talented aswell. He's been here 4 odd months. Giving up now is, well, just stupid.
Klopp rates him. Lets see what happens and give him some time.

I don't think a loan was a bad idea at all, we just sent him to the wrong club in the wrong league. All of this has been said already though.

Not the best performance imo but look at how fast he turns defence into attack by himself.
Can you imagine how useful it would be having a player like that in our squad?
He attacks, he tracks back. With the right coaching you've got a top class player there.

He has shown some real moments of magic....that shot that hit the crossbar last season was quite wonderful. His performance on loan this season has been breathtaking as well....but startinng to get worried about his frequent injuries lately.

Lazar has only looked looked a kick and run merchant for us, he doesn't look like that for his clubs pre or post us. I'd like to see what Klopp can do with him, if he's shit then I'm sure Klopp will get him binned off.

At his best, at this stage, Lazar has the most flair, imagination and impudent wit as an attacking player, not that he showed it here. I've always been a big fan of Ibe so I'm absolutely thrilled to see him getting back to form. Both have got plenty of potential still to realise. Personally I like Markovic on the left, and obviously Ibe now seems settled on the right, so they're not really in competition with each other anyway.

I don't trust wingers. I really don't.
I mean I like tricky, fast paced players but more often than not they look better than they actually are.

I know exactly what you mean, and all of your examples are spot on - its the one position where players (such as Pennant) can flatter to deceive and then hide ....... but then again.....

Peter Thompson, Ian Callaghan, Steve Heighway, John Barnes, Best, Giggs, Ronaldo, Bale, Robben, Duff, etc all had massive parts to play in making successful teams unplayable (and very entertaining)

Maybe its all down to better scouting?

Markovic clearly wasn't good enough yet for the Premiership.

Ibe was being wrote off by some on here a month ago like he was a washed up Shola Ameobi type player.
It was a total eyesore looking at some of the comments.
He's a terrific prospect.
The things he tries at times are often frustrating but that's going to happen to a player of his style but he'll stay trying and trying no matter what.
Which is half the battle with precocious talents these days.
We're lucky to have him.
