Donations are registering Farky just not displaying yet. Take it easy lads as well , no need to donate loads a little will go a long way if there's enough of them. Thank you to all those in advance and those who donated already. This site will be the fucking business in a few weeks. Got my new PC arriving Friday hopefully (old one blew up last night) so looking forward to developing on that. (Before you ask I'VE paid for that lol !)

When will there be a SCM app?
Depends. If we go down the vbulletin route, and can raise enough funds (hypothetically) , there's also a vbulletin mobile suite. That pushes the price up somewhat though to about $485 plus $99 a year upgrade (for the mobile suite - which owners may cover). Check it out: https://www.vbulletin.com/

Being a geek i'm shamelessly excited about this, and i did a bit of reading.

This one has even more features and cheaper than vbulletin?

While that does look good, I'd imagine the huge benefit of having vbull (which is ace, used it all over the shop since it's inception) is the sheer wealth of support from both developers and the community. Assuming we are hosted on good servers after the switch, then I'd expect little to no problems year round.

You are probably right. But the price difference is huge!

Sunny would know best anyway....or FFF probably.

wotlab also has a big community and a hugely impressive plugin store!

Yes, but once you have put some add-ons into wotlab the difference is not a huge as you think....

I have a phpBB forum and it too is free and has huge resources available, but it doesn't have the out of the box functionality of vBull. If the forum takes off I may migrate.

The way I look at it vBulletin is so popular simply cos it's so good.

It's rock solid, has the best support by a long way & is easily the quickest to react to security/spam threats.

That said its sunny doing the legwork here & whatever makes it easiest for him to work with is the best option for us for a number of reasons.

Probably, but I don't think there'll be a problem hitting the target, you're already nearly at the original target in less than a day.

Might be an idea to have it on the facebook group too. People are more likely to contribute when the site is down...

Thanks but I only get an error message from the Paypal website when I click on that link!
Ah, probably a unique one for each user so. I'll delete it just in case.

so it says $360 has already been raised... wasn't that more than we needed originally? or is there a different target now?

so do i still need to donate or not?

If we get more than we needed for the basic software then we get the better software, as was mentioned earlier, like with mobile systems built in etc.

Not just that there's the cost of moving hosts as well. If we can get a refund from our current hosts that will negate that but it will be an uncomfortable conversation. We may need to run a dev/prod system side by sde for a couple of months so double costs there.

Nothing happens when I click on the "Chip In" button. 🙁

Let me know if you are still having problems and I will put in for you bro.

regards

Thanks for the offer George! I just tried it on the laptop and it worked!

I tried to send a tenner but it came out as 10 dollars so I have saved myself £3.48. 🙂
