I really like him, I've never made a secret of it. I think it's a travesty that he was fucked off on loan while we persevered with Solanki, but that's water under the bridge now. He's not without his flaws and he's clearly both still learning and a bit of a confidence player, but he has quality and he's shown it fairly regularly when given the chance. Good luck to him, I hope he stays and pushed on.

His general play for me is shite but he’s 100% a part of a legendary season at LFC. Wouldn’t have won the European Cup without him, and we wouldn’t have had a record points haul in the league without him. Kudos to the lad.

He was singularly dreadful when he came on. Everything bounced off him, every pass misplaced. And then he scored, which is the tricky part. I'll always be grateful to him, but we do need better somewhere down the line, or at least, he needs to get back to the player he was looking like being before his injury at Everton a few years back.
