How long will the patience and Support last ?

Are we? Really?

I'm confident we'll turn it round because we're playing in the right way.
I'm happy to have a wager if you like. I pay 50 quid to Hillsborough fund if we get relegated, you pay if we dont

If we get relegated you better be paying 500 quid into my drink-myself-into-oblivion fund as well

It's pretty obvious we need a striker, don't let that interupt your diva moment though.

Its actually endearing hearing hmmmm tell us that most fans are patient, only to get a few posts down and realise someone's stolen his shoes.

I'm very patient thanks and will stay supporting the manager. My view was when the majority of fans will lose patience.

Just as it it is a sign of a good team that they can win while playing badly and not deserving to, is it a sign of a bad team that while playing well, and deserving to win, doesn't.
Because we have been doing a lot of that over the course of the last two seasons.

A bad team can't play good football. The above is a sign of a good team with a big flaw in the finishing dept.

We're shy of a striker and a goalscorer. We know this.

If we dont address these issues in jan, then yeah, we will be quite fucked.

We're not a bad team. We're just shy of match winners, or our match winners are out of form

Fabs, re the "matchwinners" thing: a bit of both, I reckon. The saving grace of the run we're currently on is that I do not believe the owners will now deny Rodgers the funds to get a decent striker in January. They have far too much invested here to want to take that kind of risk.

We'll be fucked if Suarez gets a long term injury before January. We needed a new striker to add to Suarez and Carroll. I like and support Brendan, think he is the right man but he's having to deal with previous managers squandering money, owners not prepared to back THEIR man financially and the negotiators being inept.

He said Captain I said what
He said Captain I said what
He said Captain he said what
He said Captain he said what you want

I wished I shared your optimism in all things Liverpool JJ

Negotiations weren't inept this year. It was commoli/Kenny that fucked up

If targets are available, and they want to come, I'm confident we'll get them

We are generally playing well, have blooded a number of youngsters who have exceeded all expectations thus far. I 'll reserve my judgement until we get a striker, so if we have further signs of progress between Xmas and the end of the season then I'll see that as something to build on.

It's not blind optimism, count. I don't like the position in which we find ourselves at the moment and I'm aware of the dangers we could slip into if we don't start climbing the table by Jan.at the latest. My assumption regarding the owners is based on two things, (a) what they've already said about not holding it against Brendan Rodgers if we have a difficult time until January - which suggests to me that they've already understood we will have to act then - and (b) the simple fact that they have squillions invested in the club which they'll want to protect and maximise.

The mascot will get an increase in his expenses. That much I'm sure about. The rest is uncertain.

These lot will sell up at the first opportunity

No, they won't. They've started to detach themselves from their investments in America, which leaves LFC as their biggest one. They're not going to sell until they think they'll make a nice big wedge out of doing so.

I have no idea. Maybe they're in for the long run, maybe they're looking for a quick way out. They are a mystery.

They got us on the cheap so that'll probably be the first offer they get.

From coming across like an open book they now seem like a book slammed shut, locked in a lead box and chucked overboard into the ocean.
