"This is a club that has only won two Premier League games at Anfield this calendar year and it's been nearly a year since the club has won consecutive Premier League games.
"So to still get the support and backing of the supporters with that type of record, there are not many clubs who'd get that. You felt today, they were right with the team right until the very end.
"I was very proud of the team and the supporters today."
Asked by reporters what the key was to turning Liverpool's home fortunes around, Rodgers replied: "It's just time, unfortunately.
"I think there is a real bright future here. It is more or less the same players I inherited and I've brought in one or two who have done really well. It's just going to take that wee bit of time.
"What is fantastic for me and incredible going forward is the real positive reaction from the crowd. They're showing they are really behind what we're trying to do. Other clubs wouldn't get that support.
"The only way is by working hard and getting results on the field. The supporters are absolutely incredible."

It's a strange place we find ourselves in at the moment, i mean i can't ever remember a season like this where we seem to have no real goal and most are prepared to write it off as a learning curve. As rodgers says , the fans seem prepared to be patient and buy into this new "project" .

But lets be honest , how long will that last for if results don't improve ? I just can't see it lasting for too long if we continue on in the current form . Fans might be behind what rodgers is trying to do but surely we're going to need some proof (i.e positive results ) that this is working if we're going to keep the faith .

Or am i wrong , will the patience and support last ?

Seeing as we won 2 games at Anfield in 2012, and were horrendously bad at home last season. I think mst fans will give him time. You can see a massive difference in our approach to the game and we're in a rebuilding fase. As long as there is improvement the fans will be supportive.

We need some wins and pointe on the board mind, so that the working environment and confidence doesnt get shot.

Giving youth a chance also seems to please the crowd. Sterlings efforts got some of the biggest cheers today.

He'll get support until relegation becomes a real possibility. So, after the Reading, Chelsea and Everton games.

Honestly don't know

Fans know we don't have many options up front and we are playing well.... But Joe public gets fed up if we lose to a major rival... I can't predict

Patience will end sooner if Rodgers keeps making silly decisions like taking Suso off for Joe Cole.

You're seriously suggested relegation? We're not scoring atm granted, but if it doesn't change by January I'm pretty sure we'll get a striker in.

There's no question that too many of our results have been poor, but it's not "too late" for anybody in January.

Are we? Really?

I'm confident we'll turn it round because we're playing in the right way.
I'm happy to have a wager if you like. I pay 50 quid to Hillsborough fund if we get relegated, you pay if we dont

Have you seen our results over the last year? Who is the saviour that will turn this around?

It's pretty obvious we need a striker, don't let that interupt your diva moment though.

Its actually endearing hearing hmmmm tell us that most fans are patient, only to get a few posts down and realise someone's stolen his shoes.

But if, for example, he extends Cole's contract and buys a poor striker then he will be in trouble. If the yanks spunk 60m on Falcao then he'll be fine.
