That's his winter break sorted, then. Hopefully he'll come back ready to push on in the second half of the season.

The hype around him, after ebbing a bit, has increased again, and you'd think from some reports that we're a one man club. We're clearly not. While he's obviously someone you'd want to have in the team, we do have other options and, as Klopp pointed out, a veritable clamour for the number 10 role, so fingers crossed one of the candidates steps up and seizes their chance.

That's shit, but we have to roll with it. We're less dangerous but we're still dangerous.

At a time when an opponent was resorting to putting a man marker on him, it's probably time to look for others to take a bigger share of responsibility anyway.

Massive 6 weeks without easily or best and most important creative player.
If we can win these games without him the belief will be huge.

Fucking new-age football boots and their no protection!

His ankle wouldn't have twisted like that if he'd have been wearing black boots I can tell you that!

Would he have scored that free kick against Arsenal with standard clogger 1990 black boots?
I think not

So this means a higher chance to see if an out and out striker will do the business for us and put more of those chances away.

Funny this injury business kind of coincides with the Jan transfer window coming up and the three players injured:-

1) Coutinio - barca spec
2) Lalana - psg spec
3) Sturridge - southampton spec

sorry for spelling mistakes - but still funny that. Hope no one else speculates about our players they could get injured.

What?!
PSG want Lallana? What?!

With Coutinho out for a while, Lallana out but due back soon, Sturridge unreliable and Mane heading off in January, we're light on numbers for at least the next 6 or 7 weeks so hopefully Ojo is nearly ready for action and can prove to be a valuable squad member.

He's no nearer to fitness than Lallana or Sturridge though (and likely further behind since it was a delicate back injury). I think we'll see Grujic & / or Ejaria if need be, with Wijnaldum pushed forward.

I was just driving to the cinema to grab midnight tickets for rogue one, & the dozy bint on the radio said "Jurgen Klopp confirms star Phillipe Coutinho is going to be out for five to six months".

I fucking shat myself. Stupid cunt.

Why Liverpool may not miss Coutinho

We hear what you're all saying. "What? Philippe Coutinho is magic."

But Liverpool's players enjoy sharing. Take goals scored - Jurgen Klopp's side have 11 different scorers in the league.

That's a league high and two more than Arsenal and Spurs. Sunderland (more on them later) have just three scorers.

The Reds have 10 players who have created a goal, with Adam Lallana and Coutinho leading the way on five each, though the likes of Jordan Henderson and Roberto Firmino have three assists.

If we look at the players in the league who have been involved in the most goals, no Liverpool player makes the top 10. This suggests they are not relying on Coutinho, or anyone other individual for that matter.

Klopp may do well to start playing James Milner up front though as a goal from the converted left-back is something of a lucky charm. In his 15 seasons in the Premier League Milner has never been on the losing side in any of the 45 matches he has scored in.
