We got rid of Hodgson because he did a number of things wrong:

1. Bought shit players
2. Regularly got his tactics and team selections wrong
3. Embarrassed us in the media
4. Had us in midtable

So far this season from Dalglish we've seen him:

1. Buy shit players
2. Regularly get tactics and team selections wrong
3. Preside over the some of the worst media dealings the club has ever seen.
4. Have us in midtable.

Should his job be on the line ?

That's not entirely fair, as one has already taken us to a cup final, and beaten several good sides.

There are several issues i have with his leadership at present but none are so bad as we saw last year.

Let's see where we are at the end of the season.

it's a really good question actually, blinkers aside. The key difference here is really we are losing less games, and drawing more. We can all see how we play against the big teams, ad it's the lack of goalscorers that's an issue. This year has gone nowhere nearly as good as it should have, but one can see the difference positively overall. He just can't sign any more SHITE

managers need time. if we are going to sack our managers the second the shit hits the van you are going to get a revolving door of managers. I'd give kenny another year. kenny strikes me as the sort of person that cares so much for the job if he felt he was harming up he'd step down.

I think Ross wishes Rafa was never sacked.

We have a winner!

Let's face it, there isn't a massive world of difference is there?

I think we're better off now but not to the tune of genius management and 100M spent.

Nope, he'll be fine.

I don't blame Kenny for the way the Suarez thing has gone down. I'm sure the board was involved every step up of the way. It was the club as a whole.

I think a manager would have to set fire to the Kop on SSN in order to provoke more anger than Hodgson off the field.

That aside, yeah, I think it's fair enough to be asking questions.

Hodgson couldn't motivate the players. They didn't give a flying fuck. The players have been willing to put in a lot of energetic displays for Kenny, especially in the cups, and that's the only reason we have a chance of winning some silverware. We're also doing some of the fundamental things correctly, and our defense is good.

That's a significant improvement, but we've look worse in attack that we did at the end of last season, and we've spent 100M for the privilege. We are a do nothing machine in attack, looking for some tiny percentage to break for us.

Oh, and I don't hate our manager with every fiber of our being, in fact quite the opposite. So there's that.

Lets see how we Finnish the season, could be with a cup (and 4th) so not quite an accurate comparison.

A tad unfair considering Hodge Podge only got 6 months 🙂

Fucking wind up merchant!

If i ever see in real life, i should be worried. I can't resist punching you in the face and getting beaten up as a result.

Oh and Hodgson looked week willed in the media. He was a "nice man", prominent people in the media said. They didn't agree with his sacking in spite of the God-awful football and terrible results, because he was well "a nice man". We are playing better football and we are in a cup final in Dalglish's first full season, and they want him sacked, if possible dead, why? Because he winds them up. Do you think the media cares how successful Liverpool football club is?

If anything Dalglish is the opposite, he comes across as a bit too strong-headed person and seems to genuinely dislike them.

Fergusson has had it in for Suarez ever since he scored against them on debut and Comolli and Ayre did the high-five for the telly. He has done as best as it is possible to unsettle Suarez, and the media and the F.A have pandered to almost all of it. The tide has to turn at some point....at some point they all have to see him for what he is...."a fantastic footballer"....till then, i'm hiding under a rock and i'm going to come out with lots of "I told you so" posts when the time permits. I'm going to be in your face Ross, and you are going to have to use that ban-stick.

KJ, you used to be all silly mid-off discussions and the like. Now I wouldn't work in the same building as you, you sound like a massacre waiting to happen.
What happened man?

Im already a disaster when it comes to anything related to LFC mate... Not a disaster waiting to happen. It seems we cant catch a break in the last three years. I cant think of one thing that haz gone right for the club. Im gonna slit my wrist at the next major debacle.

You beeter pray we win the carling cup for my sake....

Well, would that we weren't in the situation in the first place, but we were on the brink of real disaster as a club, and got our way out of it.

We've had a massive overhaul in terms of squad and coaching staff over the past year or so. Im going to have a bit more patience and hope for the best. A trophy or two would be nice and a big summer awaits.

Relegation was a genuine possibility under Hodgson. Had he done as well (or as badly, as some on here seem to prefer saying) as Kenny, he'd have been given the same amount of time, regardless of his media chums' chunterings to the contrary.

Behave.

Kenny- 1 final and potentially QF by the end of the weekend.

Podge - Naff all.

Even if Kenny won the Carling cup, its immediately moot. If he gets two finals?!

so that's the solution for crisis? when the shit hits the fan you get rid? how I wish manu were that short sighted 25 years ago

Kenny clearly favors brittish over foreign. Looking at how we shipped raul and alberto so easily yet sign inferior british Players is a real stain
