Liverpool to pull off the signing of the summer if they land Mkhitaryan. Seems pretty close, wonderful player - great addition to the PL

Three weeks ago I never would have thought Mkhitaryan (with all deep/due respect) would be likely to join Liverpool, now however...

Tor-Kristian Karlsen@karlsentk
very direct attacking midfielder who can be employed through the centre on either sides. Smart, tricky, fast - very exciting

''To tell the truth, in France Henrikh was attending all the trainings with his father and when we returned to Armenia, after his father's death Henrikh decided that he should play football like his father'', Henrikh Mkhitaryan's mother says.

Henrikh says that he is Roberto Baggio's fan.

''I'd like my son to be such a good person and footballer as his father'', says Henrikh's mother.

Lots of people asking me about Mkhitaryan...Just scroll down my timeline for the last 18 months...I absolutely love the lad, simple as that!

Mkhitaryan would be a great addition to the Premier League. He's a classy player, and conducts himself with class on and off the park.

How does Mkhitaryan play ?..incisive, intelligent, great reader of the game and makes the most impressive late runs into opposition boxes

If it makes any difference, when I watched vids of this guys and Eriksen a few months back, I thought he was terrible in comparison to Eriksen, luckily my track record is to be completely wrong about signings, so this is looking good.

PAAHAHAHAHAHA.
When he isnt scoring 25 goals a season from midfield what the fuck else is he doing.

Honest to fuck I think if we were linked with Messi on here some would be like 'Not sold on him to be honest!'

Liverpool fans are mental.

'All he does is score'

Armenian radio says he'll travel to Liverpool for his medical in a few days

Mkhitaryan will fly to England. Liverpool will officially announce the signing of the contract with the player towards the end of the week. The amount of compensation for the top scorer in the Championship of Ukraine will be about €30million. (around £25million)

Don't want to jump the gun as we've fucked some deals up at the last minute in the past but this is looking good.

I wonder what this means in terms of Suarez if we have more or less wrapped up a deal for this guy.

The general school of thought amongst the press seems to be that he'll be brought in as replacement. Does this mean we've accepted the fact that Suarez will be sold regardless?

I hope we get to see them both line up for us next season.

Coutinho, Suarez, Minas-Tirith and Sturridge would make for a very exciting, and interchangeable, front four.

Maybe the email that was knocking about was genuine - or at least on the money

sorry, what email?

Liverpool brand Ian Ayre "email" about Luis Suarez transfer to Real Madrid as fake

13 Jun 2013 09:07
The message posted online earlier today says talks between the clubs are at an advanced stage - but the Reds have moved quickly to say it isn't real

An E-Mail sent by Liverpool's Managing Director reveals Luis Suárez' future

A picture depicting an email from Liverpool managing director Ian Ayre discussing the potential transfer of Luis Suarez to Real Madrid isn't real, according to the club.
The image - published online earlier today - shows an email with Ayre's name attached saying the Uruguayan does not intend to return to Anfield after the upcoming Confederations Cup.
However, the club says the message is fabricated.
It read: "Talks are an at an advanced stage, once Real are content with their side of the deal they will formally approach with permission to speak.
"This will be granted on submission of a transfer request. This worked particularly well in the case of FT (Fernando Torres) and gave a clear indication to our supporter base that the player was behind the move and not the club."

You'd have thought that but have a few reliable Journalists have denied the Mkhitaryan will effect Suarez'. The £15m or so we'll hopefully get for Carroll will fund it.

Still reckon Suarez is a goner anyway.

I bet Rodgers sees Henrikh as a forward/striker type. Hope we buy him even though it probably means Suarez is leaving.

Does anyone else find this whole "Lets pick on Ayre because he's clearly a clown" fade a bit boring and, well pathetic?

I don't think he's a Suarez replacement, more the "extra 20 goals a season" player Rodgers has stated he wants to add.

If Suarez goes we'll buy another big money striker.

Henrikh could be as big a goal threat for us in his own way as Suarez has been.

He is not tailor made for the attacking midfield/playmaker role in a ball possessing 4-3-3 mind as he's far better making the runs and putting in the energy and goals. Why I reckon it's either him or Suarez in a team that follows Rodgers philosophy.
