Henrikh Mkhitaryan - just a smokescreen

Why won't the 3rd parties agree to a deal? They don't get any money from Mk if he doesn't move so they have every reason to push it through. It looks sorted to me if we are still keen.

third party rights aren't allowed in the prem league are they ? So i guess that means if they sell to us then yes they get money but lose their ownership . Perhaps selling him to a league that allows third party rights would be financially more beneficial in the long run .

Although if there is a sales clause in his contract then you'd think they would have to agree to it to .

Ah i don't know , third party contracts are a merky world !

According to Bild, Borussia Dortmund will try to hijack our bid for Mkhitaryan and they are "ready" to bid 25 million euros.

Bild is not reliable though.

Seems to be the last one we are persistently linked with not to have the business done yet. And he is the best of the lot?

Smokescreen for Neymar

And barcas "signing" of Neymar is a smokescreen for downing

I KNEW IT, ALL SMOKE AND MIRRORS.

According to today's Bild, Henrikh is a real target for Dortmund.

Listens as all the pieces fall into place..

*Director of sports in Dormund, Michael Zorc, reveals that they'll present at least three "really good players" in the same piece.

In the same piece??

Top Russian agent Dmitry Selyuk on Mkhitaryan: “He has numerous advisors, one of whom convinced him not to collaborate with me."

MrBoywunder@MrBoywunder 9m
Dmitry Selyuk: "I can guess who is misinforming Mkhitaryan. It is the Italian agent, Mino Raiola, who ‘owned’ Henrikh a long time ago."

MrBoywunder@MrBoywunder 7m
Dmitry Selyuk: "As a result, they decided to enter into a conflict with Shakhtar. They want to force Shaktar to let Mkhitaryan go to #LFC."

MrBoywunder@MrBoywunder 6m
Dmitry Selyuk: “As for Palkin’s statement that #LFC have not petitioned to Shakhtar for Henrikh’s transfer, I have other information."

MrBoywunder@MrBoywunder 5m
Dmitry Selyuk basically confirming you shouldn't believe everything in the media regarding Mkat and the transfer is very much on.

The Bilds transfer stories this season have been all over the place mind.
Sounds like he wants to join us, and with Mirror reporting he was scheduled for a medical last week you'd think the bid was accepted at Shaktars end.
The 3rd party negotiations are probably what hampers the deal and is probably a bitch to get done.

Yeah, it's an article drawing a line between what Zorc has recently said and the rumor in Bild.

SAME PIECE!

LOL. I totally misread that. I was wondering when players came in pieces or pieced together.
I always thought they came in peace.

Theres a blurry picture of someone in a hoodie apparently taken in a London hotel making the rounds on twitter, and everyone seems to think it's Minas Tirith. Gotta love transfer season and the scraps people feed on.

This is a knowledgeable Russian sports journalist (who happens to be ethnic Armenian). Read from bottom up.

Talks are still ongoing. The funny (or strange?) thing is that #Shakhtar are not even taking part in them. #Mkhitaryan #LFC

      24 Jun
    • I hope I was right using "when" instead of "if". Can't add anything else for now, let's cross fingers and wait.
      24 Jun
    • When Henrikh signs for #LFC I'll say what other English club were after him and you all will be proud of him.

      24 Jun
    • Ex-#LFC and #Inter rehab fitness coach Eduardo Parra Garcia @edupargar is now also at#Anzhi. (via @dmitriy_f1re)

      22 Jun
    • @ArmeniaSoccer I've got a feeling that this official statement was written by the Hayrapetyan's PR who also run his fb page.

    • Can't add anything more really. Well, just that the other English club after him is not #THFC. When I have any news I'll tweet them.

      24 Jun
    • Don't expect the deal to be agreed soon. It's much more complicated than it seems with all this owners stuff.

      24 Jun
    • The only news atm is that he hasn't join up with #Shakhtar although he was supposed to do it on Sunday. He'll probably have to soon though.
    • Why this hysteria around Mkhitaryan again? All media are copying news that first appeared with a link to a non-existing radio station
...there are now two more serious contenders (an English and a Spanish club). The good thing is he wants Liverpool, but it's all complicated

    22 Jun
  • I missed the word "necessarily" before the North-West in the last tweet, sorry. He could still sign for #LFC and I hope he will but...

    22 Jun
  • Buying Fred means #Shakhtar are ready to let Mkhitaryan go. It doesn't point to the North-West direction unfortunately.

    22 Jun
  • Brendan Rodgers just said #LFC are in full control over Suarez situation and it's important to keep him.He didn't sound too confident though

    22 Jun
  • What's more Pepe is the leader and the soul of the dressing room.Losing him would mean #LFC let go vice-captain and the third choice at once

    22 Jun
  • All his blunders were of psychological nature. When he sees the team are progresssing and fighting he'll be at his best again. He has class.

    22 Jun
  • So basically #LFC are paying 9m for Mignolet to make him a second choice keeper. Isn't Pepe a better choice even in his worst ever season?

    22 Jun
  • Pepe Reina: "I want to stay at #LFC for three more years (contract) and even longer. It's the best for my family too" http://www.elconfidencial.com/deportes/futbol/2013/06/20/reina-no-vengo-a-la-seleccion-por-contar-chistes-mis-meritos-estan-ahi-123343/

    21 Jun
  • @Anfield_Talk Hi, I really don't know. Depends on too many things. But if Suarez goes then it's much more likely to happen soon.

    21 Jun
  • Mkhitaryan had offers from Zenit and Anzhi last winter but he's not willing to swap Ukraine for Russia. Especially when #LFC got interested.

    21 Jun
  • Answering questions, #Shakhtar own only half of rights on Mkhitaryan. Other half is owned by Oleg Mkrtchan (25%) and Ruben Ayrapetyan (25%).
  • Artur Petrosyan@arturpetrosyan
@oli_fell nothing yet. When I have news I'll tweet them, no worries.

    20 Jun
  • Henrikh never really cared about money, playing football on the highest level is the only thing he wants.

    20 Jun
  • As for Mino Raiola, he's not really on the player's side, he's on his owners' side. He was hired to help make the best possible deal.

    20 Jun
  • It's not him who makes things complicated, it's #Shakhtar and his rights' owners. They simply want a bigger offer. Dunno exactly how much.

    20 Jun
  • He does want to join #LFC but can do nothing in this situation. Being a hostage in what's going on.

    20 Jun
  • Henrikh is now in Vienna with his mum and sister. If #LFC are not concrete enough these days, he'll have to join up with #Shakhtar on Sunday

Ross said he wasnt a journo, so he'll be on you like a fat kid in McDs for posting that.... 🙂

My take:

Mino Raiola is one of the seediest agents around - really unfortunate for us that he got hired by the Armenian owners to "get the best possible deal" for Mkhitaryan. The interest from other clubs (one from Spain and one from England) could be pure fiction designed to get us to panic and overpay - the Bild story too could well be Raiola's doing. Ayre and Rodgers will have a real battle on their hands - they need to get their player, but can't afford to be duped by Raiola.

One thing I don't understand is why Raiola is making Mkhitaryan miss the training in Shakhtar. Mkhitaryan on his own would never even consider something like that - and in any case I'm sure he would much rather be training now than sitting holed up in a hotel room somewhere. Why does Raiola think it's in his interest to create a conflict with Shakhtar? I have no idea.

Negotiations with the agent are ongoing:

It makes less than little sense if that man has got so much power Henrikh that he can keep him away from his current job.

Can not fathom what good that would ever do the player, but then again it's in Ukraine and I bet there are loads out there I could not fathom given the chance.

I think by far the most effective way to make Mino Raiola more accommodating is to approach CSKA with official enquiry about Dzagoev. This is going to leak very quickly to his bosses (the Armenians, one of whom is a football official in Russia) and they will probably lose the will to drag this on for much longer for fear of losing out altogether. By burning the bridges with Shakhtar (for whatever reason), Raiola is actually diminishing his leverage, because now they almost HAVE to sell.

Just pure conjecture, of course.

This was my favourite quote:
"Henrikh never really cared about money, playing football on the highest level is the only thing he wants."

With all the Suarez and other transfer stories this really made me laugh...
