Right....
Name one thing he does well.

Name one thing he does well.
Come on Hansern, you know as well as I do he showed no spine today.
So he'll mature on the bench?
Sorry, that was meant for spidey. I was baiting.Introducing young players to the team doesnt mean you have to play them in every game does it? Look at Fergie.
Passing, running with the ball, one touch football, good engine, mobility, good technique, good allround play and young.
We have a player with great talent but possible mental weakness.
Now do we try and coax out the player, investing minutes on the pitch in the hope he'll come good? Or is this too dangerous in what could be a crucial season next year
Do we loan him out to see if he can capture some form and learn when to release a killer ball? Or is that a waste of the talent he has?
Plonk him in the reserves so he can settle without the irate fans being on his shoulders? Or is this admitting our transfer failure?
Or sell? Will he come back and bite us on the arse.
He obviously has talent but is terrified of showing it to the world. This year he could have been competing for a place in the euro squad; now, would Roy take him?
I'd plonk him in the reserves. He needs to adapt quickly and he needs to adapt to the club more than he seems to have. I like him, hes got a lot of potential, but he needs to play with a freedom that the pressures of our first XI aren't allowing.
All of those things you listed are attributes ANY footballer should have no matter the level. And herein lies the problem, he is the definition of average. He doesn't do anything particularly well at the premier league level to justify his inclusion in the starting XI week in and week out.
He is not a good tackler, crosser of the ball, poor close control, can't take players on, doesn't score goals, and doesn't provide assists.
He's just not very good.
I just don't know what type of player he is. Most players you can say that have one strength but what is his, he is rubbish at shooting, can't tackle, not a winger, not a defensive midfielder, not a great assist man. I just don't know what is his strength
Henderson is a good passer of the ball, yes. He nearly always finds a red shirt. However, finding a red shirt every time is very fucking simple when every pass you make goes backwards.
He rarely makes a good attacking pass. Countless times this season he had opportunities to set up an attacking manoeuvre but he bottled it and passed it back to Skrtel or Carra. He just doesn't have the balls to take a gamble. He adds absolutely fuck all to the team. He's just a part of the furniture at Anfield. He needs to be shown the door immediately.
Maybe we could use him as a cheerleader? He could stand on the sidelines and do copious amounts of keepy-uppys.
Me and one other person voted to put him in the reserves.
Who was it?
Part of Liverpool's struggles this season could be attributed to big-money signings Andy Carroll, Jordan Henderson and Stewart Downing failing to perform to expectations.
Barnes, who spent six years at Watford before joining Liverpool in 1987, feels they may have moved from their respective clubs too early, but has faith in them to prove their value to the club in the coming seasons.
"What is happening these days in football is that players have one season at a club and show great potential but they are then catapulted to a big club and suddenly expected to do well," he said.
"It hasn't worked in the first year but they have only had one year at the club and so I would say give them time because they have both played well in the last couple of months."
one swallow doesn't make a summer. Yes he played well against Norwich but to be fair the whole team played well that day. Don't get me wrong. I mean I've really tried to find the positives in Henderson. But I just can't. He's been here a full season, started almost every game, and yet I'm still waiting to see even a hint of something new or creative from him. He's just an average player that we blew 16 million on. He'll never come good as long as he's at Liverpool. I'd love to be proved wrong, but I can't see it. Like Charlie Adam, when we bought him, we just bought a player that stood out in a shit team. This is also wrong. Last week against Norwich he started nearly every attack for us. He's a young kid whose been out of his depth some times in his first season.
Give him some time and have some patience.
It worked out pretty good with Lucas, remember???
