In their last three games they've picked up two points and scored zero goals.

And now Vardy is set for minor surgery on a groin injury :

BBC Radio Leicester reported on Sunday that the striker could be out for up to two weeks, meaning he would also miss the league trip to Aston Villa on Jan. 16. But the Foxes have so far onlyconfirmed to Press Association Sport that the Vardy will miss their next game.

The 28-year-old has played through several injuries this season, including a broken wrist and a hip complaint for which he received pain-killing injection, while most recently he featured in Leicester's Christmas fixtures despite suffering from a virus.

I think both common sense and the statistical measures would tell us Leicesters first half was unlikely to be replicated. On the statistical side two weeks ago their goals total was something like 36% more than their expected goals total.

It looks like things might be evening themselves out for Leicester.

They should've beaten B'mouth, had a penalty save.
They're new signing Gray I think will be a surprise in the EPL and do quite well

I think Vardy is only missing the cup game, but yeah, their luck will probably turn a bit. Given how shit everyone else is, they could still manage top 4 though.

I think the slip has started but i don't see them slipping too far although that's dependent on how quickly Vardy gets over this little op and Mahrez keeping his levels of performances up for at least a couple more months.

My money is on them finishing between 5th and 8th

I can understand why he did it, but I think Ranieri probably regrets now stressing so much that reaching 40 points was the target. It's surely no coincidence that, now they've reached it, the energy has diminished a bit. They did so much better than expected he should have kept them ambitious and focused on a title challenge.

Its also because of the fixtures they've had.
Liverpool and City are two matches were its understandable that they didnt score.

Bournemouth at home is another matter but they did just about everything but score.
Lets see after the next three league games: Spurs, Villa and Stoke.
