Second round of talks have taken place appaz, we've upped our offer but not to the level of Spurs, with various clauses thrown in. He wants assurances about our intentions in the transfer market and beyond, the club are determined not to get the piss taken out of them in the market this year, but still have some flexibility regards the deal, they just won't be held to ransom because of an agent, a player or another clubs offer (or all three). Gilfi to decide in the next few days, Hoffeneim preferably want a decision from him by the 30th June though. Swansea put an offer in but never reached the discussion stage, the wages that were mooted by his agent made them decide to spend their money on the squad, Laudrup put the dampers on it as he felt the wages and fee would be better spent elsewhere.
