Hehe stole the pic, but now that you mention it, it's gonna be a whole lot tougher for Jones and Elliot to get time in midfield.Oh no, did you forget the generational talent? Go and apologize to @moron right now!

I had him on my mind, but he actually had a good season at Chelsea. The reason they sold him was because of Drogba.Sturridge
Home grown.
Who would have forseen a 111m bid before it happened. We’ve already had a strange window so why not!A CB and a RB in 24hrs? How much have you had to drink tonight?
Yeah, but gravenberch isn't the only player that actually wants to play and develop.
Can he play vs Villa?
Can he play vs Villa?
If he's shit can we call him Gravenberk?
Yeah I would expect to see this team against the lower sides in the league. I think with the Trent hybrid thing you get an incredibly fluid transition where you see Macca and Trent able to ping the ball anywhere, and two seriously athletic and capable runners in Szobo and Gravenberch so we can move up and down the pitch incredibly fast. Should improve our countering a lot, but hopefully also mean our play becomes a lot slicker and harder to keep the low block against whenever a team tries to break against usI think there is a chance - medical, contract and media duties on Friday, first training with the team on Saturday, in the squad Sunday.
I want to see this triangle in midfield as soon as possible:
—————————Szoboszlai
—Gravenberch———————
——-———MacAllister———
LCM is a position Gakpo played in the first 2 games alongside MacAllister at #6 - surely no matter what potential defensive issues Gravenberch might have that need to be ironed out, he is a much more natural fit in this position and should provide more solidity due to his large frame and long legs. Endo can come in when we need to shore things up and Jones or Elliott for more attacking impetus.

Yeah I would hope we can get to that point - after all some of our greatest games we had no classical 6 when Fabinho wasn't there - the classic Brexit midfield won us a lot and this can be a far less agricultural new midfield. ExcitingNot necessarily just lower-league sides IMHO. If everyone pulls their weight defensively, including Gravenberch, and the team as a whole plays in a more energetic high-press style reminiscent of the early Klopp years, not many teams will be able to cope. We won plenty of important games in the past with Milner, Hendo or Gini at #6, neither of whom were a natural DM.
Didn’t our trophies come flooding in once we had a proper #6?
Yeah that's how I'm seeing it too - I think it's clever in the circumstances. Go for the right players but we didn't refuse to add a player like Endo which is also at least not totally stubbornYes, but Fabinho came to an already highly functioning, well-balanced team. We’re going to build a proper structure this season and hopefully take it to a new level with a new system-defining #6.
