I think he could be registered in time.Needs to be registered by noon today for Sunday.
Therefore we'll see him mid September.
If the Arabs come in with a £150m+ offer, its gonna be hard to say no. We need to think about the future and the American owners haven't a clue about how we fund the team going forward.Great fee and a very solid addition.
Keep Salah, get a CB and RB this week and it’s utopia!
There are loads in South America. Problem is, we aren't willing to take a punt on 2 or 3 of them for around 30m totalThe supply and demand thing with DMs is mad. There aren't any standout ones, so when they pop up they're now the most expensive players on the market. And the reason they don't exist is because no fucker wanted to be one when they were a kid. Everyone wanted to be a bit further up the pitch.

I'm not sure why we'd have him on the bench. Hasn't trained or played.I think he'll be registered in time, but he'll still be on the bench on Sunday, he's not played much footy, so I'm guessing Klopp will play it safe and ease him in.
Small correction, Quansah hasn't actually played for the U21 England team.If anything, we've been guilty of not being able to buy established players for big money, on the few occasions it's been needed. I don't think they can really be accused of not thinking about the future, when you look at the squad with the addition of Gravenberch. The midfield and forward line are very healthy and young, we've got a brilliant young back up keeper too. There are obvious areas for improvement at centre back, but we have Quansah who has figured regularly and successfully for England U21's and is starting to break through with us too. We've got a relatively young team now, particularly if you look at the average turnaround across just a couple of transfer windows.
I'll admit that I think FSG and the current DoF set up has appeared hopeless at times, none more so than earlier in this window, but we've also revamped the squad pretty successfully in other respects too.

Trent was a striker when we signed himIn 10 years there's gonna be a ton of full backs with Trent, walker, trippier, Robbo etc.

I just watched Gravenberch’s 13 minute cameo in the game vs Augusburg last weekend - his last game for Bayern. The game was already well won by then, but it was still quite informative.
He played as LCM or even LW, combining well with Alphonso Davies down the left flank and staying closer to the touchline than to the middle of the park. Impressively sharp in possession - there were several episodes where he received the ball on the run in crowded areas and managed to wriggle through with a combination of footwork and strength and produce an incisive pass on the end of it. Earned a cheap yellow card shortly after coming on, not sure if it was for a handball or dissent of some kind.
Overall impression: he looks sharp and fit, showing good understanding with teammates despite hardly playing and his eye for a pass and ability to wriggle through crowded areas is genuinely impressive. He seems to want to play fast and look for any chance to hurt the opposition rather than slowing and calming the game down. I can’t see him immediately coming here as a #6 after being mostly relieved of defensive responsibility at Bayern, but he could definitely help us with improving build-up play and attacking threat as a left-sided midfielder.
Nunez was a big signing but we had to let sell quite a few players to get him. Appaz Gakpo was a stretch to get at £36m. This season we let quite a few players leave, freeing up about £25m in wages. Our net spend is about £100m and I don't think we could afford another outlay like this unless we sell. So if we sell Salah for £150m+ it gives us a war chest to upgrade the defence and possibly by a attacker in Jan. With or without Salah we are looking at a top 4 finish. If anything, we've been guilty of not being able to buy established players for big money, on the few occasions it's been needed. ‘Twas the U19s and he was boss. However, we’ve had young talent at this level before who’ve disappeared without trace so I’m hoping but still VERY concerned we are relying on 4 senior CBS, Quansah and EndoSmall correction, Quansah hasn't actually played for the U21 England team.

What concerns me more is Joe Gomez is both now a first choice CB and first choice cover for RB.‘Twas the U19s and he was boss. What happens if TAA is having a shocker like last week? Who do we turn to? JoeGo, who's already on the pitch? Do we move him to RB, if he's having a good game already and play Quansah?
It’s a nope from me.If the Arabs come in with a £150m+ offer, its gonna be hard to say no. We need to think about the future and the American owners haven't a clue about how we fund the team going forward.
The kid was barely tested. We can't keep worrying about these things all the time. I am sure between Matip and Joe - they can cover while Konate/VVD are out. Plus we have Endo who has played at CB, and I am sure that Gravenberch must have played there. If you watched any of the talk from other fans regarding Liverpool's defense they are of the opinion that maybe we not so desperate after Quansah's display against Newcastle, - have to admit the kid was as cool as ice.

I shudder to think what Watkins has in stall for us this weekend to be honest.
He ran us ragged in the 7-2 game, and also last season at Anfield too.
Small correction, Quansah hasn't actually played for the U21 England team.
