I'd sell Torres. I said in summer that the injuries would not go away. His muscular problems will now always be problems.
He may be the best striker in the world, but if he only plays 2 games in 5 he's no good to a club who can't afford a backup.
If the rumoured 75m offer was on the table I'd take it, providing every penny was ploughed into the squad.
75m is Villa, Young, Bent and Hangaland.

First of all - WHAAAAAAAT ?!

Second, if you think 75M will buy those 4 players, your'e talking with some kind of bib around your neck.

I heard the other day that Masher is defo going.

Mate playing golf in Dohar behind Pep Guardiola who as good as said they were getting him.

We'll see.

Remember when juve sold zidane, brought a couple players and won the league!

Wouldnt trust our owners though.

I can't disagree with the logic Oncey. The only problem is that it really does make us into a selling club, still I suppose if we had to swallow our pride for the greater good it might be something we should do.
Although the manager and the owners do not fill me with confidence they would maximise the potential.

I was convinced at the start of the season Mascher was going to go - sooner rather than later, and and he and Barca had been persuaded to wait until January so as we could get over the Xabi factor (hahaha), I think that still remains the case, the next couple of weeks with see.

regards

As much as I love Torres, I would sell him if it meant we could pick up the players mentioned.
He is injury prone, I think every one accepts it. He has yet to be available for a full campaign for us and it looks like that will be the case for his entire Liverpool career.

If we sold him and could improve the squad to the point that we would be champions, I'd sell him.

People forget every other team would know we got £75 million for Fernando and therefore would extort us at every chance. I wouldnt sell Torres myself.

Oh no, it probably needed a smiley or something. But they're just really, really gay.

Torres wont leave, end off.

Mascher will leave after the season, and if we get in a great replacement, I see no fear with him leaving.

Getting Yaya Toure in some cash+player deal would improve us tbh.

Gerrard at Man Shitty?

Laughable

Why not? Fowler and Macca went there to top up the pension fund

Agree about Torres.

Much less certain than you that we'll adequately fill the hole Masher leaves behind if he goes. One - we have no clue how much of the fee we'll get to spend. Two - we don't know who we'll be able to sign even if we DO get transfer money out of the deal. Three - good player though Toure is (his all-round game does look better than Masher's), his DM play isn't of the same standard and our defence needs that protection at the moment. Four - losing Masher the summer after losing Alonso sends out a signal that we're becoming a selling club, with all sorts of implications for (a) the question whether players will want to come and (b) the fees we'll be able to charge for any we sell.
