Gaston Ramirez

Relax.
Dimishra is only worried that he might limit Shelvey's opportunity😉

Reminds me a bit of Suarez with that ability to always keep control of the ball and get past defenders.
Great shot aswell

I've had my say people. I'm going to have a cry if we sign him for big money. I've seen him enough times, and I'm convinced he's not special. I'd love to be wrong, and I'm sure I have in the past, but I don't see it happening with this kid.

The idea of getting him for 16 million when their are absolute top-drawer talents like Kovacic and Djuricic around who we could sign for about half the money is so wrong, I wonder why we even have scouts.

He's absolutely nothing like Suarez, skill-wise. Suarez is on another planet compared to him.

He reminds of Suarez, because he has the ability to come out of tackles like Suarez with the ball. Using his body strenght to his advantage.

Nowhere, in that post or in any other does that say they're at the same level skill-wise

Jeezzees

Yeah, I agree. 16 mill is way to much, couple of more mill and you could be talking Jovetic instead.
If we're going to spend 15 mill upwards there are plenty of better players and more value for money.

10 millish and Ramirez is a good signing though imho.

Heh, I've had my say. I'm going to look like a tit if I keep at this. I want better.

You don't sound like a tit Dmishra, just very certain that we'd be making a mistake on this player at the price. Moreover, you're right to say (and have backed it up with plenty of examples) that there are a whole lot of high potential options out there at reasonable fees (why is there no hype around Belhanda?)

For the record, I think you've got Ramirez very wrong and he'd be an excellent signing, but feel free to make a passionate case to the contrary.

In my mind he should die on his knees as Andy Carroll beheads the effete snob and rapes Conor Coady's woman before his blood is even cold.

our record of 15m+ signings succeeding is patchy - torres, suarez and johnson come to mind, but there are equal number of players if not more who flopped, so statistically he has a 40% chance of being great and 60% chance of being rubbish... because he is not some overrated british player the odds are better!

About 13 million..

Which is just a smidgeon over his market value. I wonder when about 800 grand became a smidgeon. Anyway, he is worth more than what dmishra said. Dmishra - If we do sign him I'm sure you'll be willing him to do well and not looking to pounce immediately on every mistake just like these bellends who love to say told you so.

'Course he'll give him time, because he's not a self-gratifying bellend like some of the idiots we saw on here last season.

I really hope Mish is wrong on this one, and I do really respect his knowledge of players. From what I've seen from that clip, he seems a bit unpredictable, but maybe that's not such a bad thing in our predicament of being unable to open teams up.

Jesus Christ some of our fans are such knobs, someone has made a video called: Gaston Ramirez The Uruguayan Kaka.
