Gary's free kick goal that won us a crucial Derby match back in ???? is my favourite ever LFC goal. Not so much for the quality (although it was diabolically clever) but because it stuck two fingers up at the rest of the world (including Andy Gray on Sky) who were rooting for an Everton win. 🙂
It was in the Treble season, old chum. I was watching it at my sister's, and a bluenose friend of hers had just phoned her up to needle her about the points we'd "dropped" when that goal went in. Sometimes life is sweet. 8)

Strange, but even the goals in the CL final, Gerrard's FA Cup leveler and Kuyt's penalty at the death at the Emirates last season, have not managed to send me into the same frenzy that Gary's goal did. It was bloody surreal.
Top stuff that. Was cool listening to Alan Hansen's interview on LFC TV earlier, must have said "we" (as in Liverpool) about a dozen times. True Red.

That's how you take a penalty.

Disagree. I never like to see them taken high - the kicker's bound to be kicking upwards to some extent, so deliberately placing them in the top corner reduces the kicker's margin of error. Much prefer them kept low.
