Gary McAllister talks about Liverpool's chances this season

Top player, top bloke. Signing him was an absolute masterstroke by GH. I'd be happy to see him back at LFC one day.

Gary's free kick goal that won us a crucial Derby match back in ???? is my favourite ever LFC goal. Not so much for the quality (although it was diabolically clever) but because it stuck two fingers up at the rest of the world (including Andy Gray on Sky) who were rooting for an Everton win. 🙂

It was in the Treble season, old chum. I was watching it at my sister's, and a bluenose friend of hers had just phoned her up to needle her about the points we'd "dropped" when that goal went in. Sometimes life is sweet. 8)

Liverpool FC - Gary Mcallister scores a super freekick again

Top top, TOP! goal.

Strange, but even the goals in the CL final, Gerrard's FA Cup leveler and Kuyt's penalty at the death at the Emirates last season, have not managed to send me into the same frenzy that Gary's goal did. It was bloody surreal.

That Gary Mac goal is similar to the Jan Molby once against Man u, in that it get another yard further out each passing year 🙂

Top stuff that. Was cool listening to Alan Hansen's interview on LFC TV earlier, must have said "we" (as in Liverpool) about a dozen times. True Red.

That's how you take a penalty.

Disagree. I never like to see them taken high - the kicker's bound to be kicking upwards to some extent, so deliberately placing them in the top corner reduces the kicker's margin of error. Much prefer them kept low.

Still, all's well that ends well. 8)

But if you can do it, the keeper won't save it. Even if he knows where it's going.

Shearer's a good example (yeah, I know he missed some)

It just seems England players panic more often than not.

I hate ones where they place it or side foot it.

It's all about power, well, mostly.
