Kewell and Morientes are my two, I also didn't think Babel would be as poor as he ended up.

I think only a few people were serious about Bentley, the majority saw him for the shite he is.

I thought that Kuyt looked like a clinical striker with a deft touch in his first sub appearance for us.

Baros looked great after that goal v Chelsea circa 2003. From the edge of the box. And then he discovered corner flags

I thought that Stephen Wright was ace, thought we were mental selling him to Sunderland for 1m... but I dunno what the hell he did after that, disappeared.

David Thompson, better that that Gerrard kid.

There's surely a bit of rewriting of history with Heskey. I think the only time he looked unplayable was when he played against us for Leicester. I can't say I ever thought he was THAT good in his first two seasons. He played well fairly frequently but he was always frustrating. He just got more frustrating.

What happened to that young Italian cunt who scored against us and Villa for the Mancs?

I agree with Macca - He used to drive me nuts. Do you remember that glaring miss against the scummers? That just about summed Heskey up! His hatrick against Derby was decent though.

Denilson been mentioned yet? Real Betis paying a world record transfer fee. Some laugh!
He has yes

What's about the other denilson?

Started fantastic for arsenal, replacing flamini effortlessly, the fucked off on loan to Brazil, never to be seen again

For once I can't agree. In his first season, after Owen picked up one of his injuries quite early in the season, Heskey replaced him as the spearhead of our attack and was unstoppable. Nobody could cope with him that season.
