Can we bring Bellamy in as a coach? The thought process behind this always makes me laugh:

"I told Ginge he had to sing a song. I might have said it a couple of times. He said he didn’t want to do it,".

"I mentioned it again and he snapped. He got s***** about it. He got up and started shouting. 'Listen,' he yelled, 'I'm not singing and I've had enough of you banging on about it.'

"Sami told me to ignore him and Ginge left fairly soon afterwards. But as the evening wore on and I had more to drink, it started eating away at me. At that time, the way I was, I didn’t know how to control my emotions if someone disrespected me in front of the rest of the players.

"Our golf clubs were in the lounge (back at the hotel). I'd got one out as I was stewing over what Ginge had done. It was an eight iron......"

Feels like it's going to be another difficult summer trying to attract top class talent. One of the major reasons it would be bad for us to lose Sterling.

I think this right here sums it up. The sad truth is that we aren't an attractive destination anymore for top talent. We all said 2-4 years ago how we desperately needed CL to get that top tier talent.. well last summer showed it takes more than that, namely financial clout that we currently don't possess. I feel like as the years progress, especially since we are out of top 4 this year, and the gap widening, all the bollocks we've heard with the CL money gal widening, etc. etc... that retaining the talent we do posses becomes more important because it will be an ever increasing challenge for us to attract the talent to replace. People lament the fact that we signed a platitude of players last summer to try to replace Suarez instead of the one stud, but the fact is, in the end, we couldn't attract a marquee signing, regardless what excuses (London), etc, we try to tell ourselves.

In a way I think FSG has the right mentality by focusing on high-potential youth. I don't post much, and I might be coming across as overly pessimistic, not to mention the fact that I'm quitre drunk right now, but I believe to the greater footballing community we have lost a lot of our glamour, thus we need to take a different approach in order to succeed.
